To reinvent real-time geopolitical intelligence by fusing domain-specific AI, unique data, and human expertise.

Role

Who you are

  • 7-10 years of experience in business development targeting the public sector, ideally with a focus on the defence, national security, or policing sectors.
  • Either direct public sector experience with relevant commercial exposure or private sector experience working on high-value public sector partnerships.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build trust and credibility at all levels.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A strong track record of crafting compelling and successful business cases, proposals, and bids.
  • Proven ability to manage long and complex sales cycles.
  • Confident in representing ExTrac externally at meetings, events, and industry forums.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • Please note, ExTrac provides services to multiple government clients, some of which specify nationality criteria for individuals seeking security clearances. We can only consider applications from individuals who hold a passport from the UK, another NATO member state, Ireland, Australia or New Zealand.

Desirable

  • An extensive existing network across the public sector in the UK, Europe, and other NATO states.
  • Deep and detailed understanding of government procurement processes and public sector contracting.
  • Understanding of global geopolitical dynamics and the ability to communicate complex risk concepts to a non-technical audience.

What the job involves

  • Develop and execute a partnership strategy to expand ExTrac’s profile across the UK and European public sector.
  • Identify and build relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers in government, with a focus on defence, national security and policing.
  • Manage the full business development lifecycle of lead generation, partnerships, proposal development, and deal execution and closure.
  • Collaborate with partners, prime contractors, clients and internal teams to ensure that product and service offerings align with market demands.
  • Maintain an up-to-date and detailed understanding of public sector procurement processes and regulatory requirements across different markets.
  • Represent ExTrac at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to inform business development efforts.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all business development activities in CRM software.
  • Provide regular reports and sales forecasts to management, tracking key performance metrics.
  • Support broader commercial initiatives as needed, including market research and sales operations.

Our take

Traditional intelligence gathering often struggles to keep pace with the evolving nature of threats. Siloed approaches focus solely on physical or online risks and miss the complex interplay between the two, leaving organisations vulnerable.

ExTrac offers a comprehensive approach, with its system bridging the physical and online divide, providing real-time insights into a broad range of threats, including terrorism, violent extremism, disinformation, and crime. Its Co-Analyst tool allows even non-experts to obtain valuable insights and make faster, more informed decisions.

The company's innovative technology and focus on user-friendliness positions it to empower a wide range of organisations to proactively manage risk. As the threat landscape continues to evolve, ExTrac is poised for continued growth, with a wealth of opportunity on its horizon.
