Compliance Analyst/Manager, Cardless

• You think critically and show your work. Given incomplete information, you can work out what happened, say what you are confident about and what you are not, and defend where you drew the line. This is the requirement; everything else is secondary
• You finish things. You have personally taken a problem from "something is off" through to fixed and verified, in whatever field you worked in
• You are comfortable with data and you work with AI. You can read a number and judge whether it can be right, and you use AI tools in your work today and check their output. You do not need to be an engineer
• You write clearly. Corrective action plans, issue narratives, and reporting that bank partners and regulators read. Plain, precise, and defensible beats polished
• You are organized and self-directed. Dozens of open items with hard dates, no playbook, no daily check-in, and nothing gets lost
• You know, or want to learn properly, the regulations this work turns on: Regulation Z, Regulation E, Regulation B, UDAAP, and FCRA

• We're looking for a compliance professional to own issue management end to end: the log of compliance issues across our card programs, the corrective action plans that resolve them, the consumer remediation that makes affected customers whole, and the reporting that tells our bank partners where each item stands
• This is the role that decides whether a problem is fixed: not on a ticket, but in the product, validated with evidence, and closed with a record that holds up when an examiner reads it later
• Cardless is a program manager that partners with FDIC- and OCC-regulated issuing banks, so every issue you work has to satisfy us, a brand partner, and an issuing bank with its own regulator and reporting cadence
• This is a hands-on, individual-contributor role, and we are open on level
• Depending on what you bring, this is an analyst seat or a manager seat, and the title and offer follow what you can do
• We care more about how you think than how many years you have done it: the instinct to look at a number that does not add up and refuse to move on is what we screen for
• Own the compliance issue log end to end: intake, classification, root cause, target dates, status, and closure, across every card program and bank partner, kept aligned with each bank's own register
• Record each issue with the facts that matter: what happened, which requirement it touches, when it started, when any consumer impact ended, and how many customers are affected
• Write corrective action plans that name the defect, the fix, the owner, the target date, and the evidence that will show it worked, and put an interim control in place when the permanent fix will take time
• Work with Engineering, Product, and Operations to fix the underlying cause, and confirm the fix held before calling an issue closed
• Scope affected populations by sub-issue, design the remediation, partner with Finance and Operations on execution, and verify afterward that every customer received what they were owed
• Produce monthly issue reporting for each bank partner on schedule, respond to partner and examination requests on open items, and prepare reporting for the Compliance Committee and the Board
• Improve the tooling and workflow behind issue management, including automation, and turn recurring patterns into preventive controls and monitoring
• Provide coverage across other compliance functions as needed
• In your first 90 days you own the log, know every open item and its owner, and the monthly reporting to each bank partner reconciles to their records
• By six months you run a mature program: consistent intake and classification, corrective action plans with clear evidence standards, remediation scoped by sub-issue and verified after payment, and monthly reporting our bank partners recognize as an improvement.
