Data Engineer, The Arbitrum Foundation

• Strong SQL skills (BigQuery, PostgreSQL, or similar)
• Experience with ETL tools (e.g. Airbyte, Fivetran, or other or custom-built solutions)
• Proficiency in Python for scripting and automation
• Ability to work with a variety of APIs to extract and integrate data (e.g. Google Analytics, CRM, blockchain indexers)
• Understanding of blockchain data structures, and how to work with transaction data
• A pragmatic mindset—you know when to build from scratch and when to use existing solutions
• Experience with data visualisation tools (e.g. Looker, Google Data Studio, Metabase)
• Ability to communicate insights to non-technical stakeholders

• As a Data Engineer, you'll play a foundational role in reshaping our data infrastructure while also delivering key insights to drive decision-making
• You’ll be responsible for setting up data pipelines, integrating multiple sources (on-chain & off-chain), and maintaining existing dashboards while creating new ones for our leadership and internal teams
• This is a hybrid role, ideal for someone who enjoys both the technical challenge of data engineering and the business impact of analytics
• You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our data is accurate, accessible, and actionable
• Design & implement scalable data pipelines to ingest, transform, and store data from multiple sources (blockchain data, Google Analytics, CRM, internal databases)
• Build & maintain a centralised data warehouse (BigQuery or similar) to unify structured and unstructured data
• Develop & optimise SQL queries for data extraction and reporting
• Create and maintain dashboards to visualize key metrics, helping teams make data-driven decisions
• Ensure data accuracy & reliability by implementing validation and quality assurance processes
• Automate data processes and improve efficiency through scripting (Python, SQL)
• Integrate Web3 analytics tools (e.g. Dune Analytics, Allium, Flipside, etc.) for blockchain data insights
