- The Partnership Associate role is a brilliant entry-level opportunity to learn about Partnerships management, as well as events and ambassadors. Your career can evolve in multiple directions across the business side of our organisation

- A degree isn’t required for this role, but if you don’t have a degree, we do want to see some experience for this role, such as personal projects, internships, or other work experience
- You’re a “doer”; not just a “thinker”. You’re hands-on and want to roll up your sleeves / get stuck in (you have a real ‘go get it’ attitude)
- You’re organised, efficient and can execute at pace. You can manage lots of spinning plates and prioritise effectively
- You care about the small things and have high attention to detail
- You have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- You’re a fast learner, see feedback as a gift and constantly think about how you can improve
- You’re fun, personable and love running!
- This role is ideal for someone passionate about building relationships, analysing data, and driving results in a fast-paced environment
- You’re London-based (or able to work in person 2+ days per week)
What the job involves
- We're building out the UK Partnerships team to help drive Runna forward, leveraging exciting new and existing partnerships to propel us to new heights
- We’re looking for an exceptional, proactive, passionate and driven individual who’s ready to roll up their sleeves and help us enhance our current partnerships and build new partnerships with brands, race providers and more!
- This position will support and contribute to maintaining and building out Runna’s existing partnership offering as well as securing new opportunities
- This includes brands, race providers, charities and more
- You will have a strong focus on partners, ensuring they LOVE working with Runna and that our channel is driving amazing results
- Maintaining and developing Runna’s existing partnership offering (70%):
- Working closely with Tom (Partnership Manager) and Ellie (Partnerships Associate) to nurture existing partners, in turn ensuring our users receive the best experience possible
- This will include working alongside existing partners to improve and/or create new strategies for races, brands, events and runner engagement in the build-up and execution
- Collaborating with partners to refine and enhance the content they provide to their runners, rigorously testing it to maximise conversions and drive engagement and value to their audience
- Collaborating cross-functionally with internal teams such as product, marketing, and content to align partnership initiatives with marketing campaigns and product launches
- Identifying and securing new partnership opportunities (20%):
- Work with the UK to identify and discover new exciting opportunities in the UK that align with our strategic goals
- The process spans from sourcing through to implementation and integration (where relevant) and owning the partnership end to end with a particular focus on ensuring our premium offers section and race partners are as valuable as possible for our Runnas!
- Helping the wider Runna team (10%):
- As noted, we are still a small team, so from time to time, you will be required to get involved and contribute to other areas of the business
- This includes supporting the events and ambassador teams to host flagship brand activations (e.g. Lululemon x Runna Events), collaborating with ambassadors and occasionally working with product teams to help develop new features in the app

- Take Home Task (~60 minutes)
- Interview with Tom, Partnerships Manager and Ellie, Partnerships Associate (45-minute video call)
- Office visit (in-person ~1hr 30mins) 2x 30min chats with two of: Katie (Head of Partnerships), Josh (COO) or Ben (Co-Founder)

Our take
As a way to keep fit, running has shot up in popularity in recent years, partially due to accessibility, especially during the pandemic. But for those who want to take running to the next level – whether that be a 5K or a marathon – it can be difficult to know where to start in terms of a training plan. Runna supplies an app with personalised training plans for all types of runs, to help people achieve their running and fitness goals.
Runna was founded in 2020 by running enthusiasts for running enthusiasts, in response to the lack of tools – save paying a professional trainer – available to help runners train. Although there is a wealth of day-to-day running apps available, where Runna stands out is in providing training plans for specific races, which can be distinguished by distance and goal time. In addition, it does this whilst maintaining a sense of community, which has proven to be a popular feature amongst other running apps, and still caters to a range of experience levels.
Runna has since consistent subscriber growth since its launch, serving thousands of users globally. The company plans to build and scale into the future, reach more customers, and expand its team.
