Who you are
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Minimum of 5 years of similar experience
- Proven track record of success in sales leadership roles, preferably in the tech industry
- Strong understanding of social media management and insights platforms is highly desirable
- Demonstrated experience in building and managing high-performing sales teams
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute sales strategies
- Proficiency in sales CRM software and sales analytics tools
What the job involves
- Brandwatch is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager to lead a team of Account Executives
- As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the new business function, which plays a crucial role in generating and closing sales opportunities
- You will work closely with the sales leadership team to develop and execute strategies that drive revenue growth and achieve sales targets
- Leadership and Team Management:
- Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing sales team
- Set clear objectives, provide coaching, and conduct performance evaluations to ensure the team's success
- Foster a collaborative and results-oriented team culture focused on exceeding sales goals
- Strategy Development:
- Collaborate with sales leadership to develop and implement new business strategies aligned with overall business objectives
- Identify market opportunities and define target segments to maximize sales potential
- Analyze sales data and trends to drive continuous improvement and optimize sales processes
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with other sales leaders, including field sales and channel partners, to maximize revenue generation and market penetration
- Liaise with product management and marketing teams to provide feedback on market trends, customer requirements, and product enhancements
- Pipeline Management:
- Manage the new business pipeline, tracking progress and ensuring accurate forecasting
- Implement strategies to accelerate the sales cycle and drive conversion rates
- Collaborate with other departments, such as customer success and product development, to address customer needs and enhance the sales process
- Account Qualification and Opportunity Generation:
- Oversee the generation of outbound prospecting efforts to identify potential sales opportunities
- Establish and maintain effective lead generation and qualification criteria and processes
- Work closely with marketing to ensure alignment between marketing campaigns and sales efforts
