Role
Who you are
- 3+ years experience selling SaaS with proven experience exceeding targets
- 1+ year selling nonprofit SaaS or CRM or FinTech with scaling pricing model a bonus, but not required
- Experienced in both inbound and outbound lead management and lead generation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills via phone and email
- Skilled in managing multiple tasks, deadlines, and a high-volume workload
- Ability to work effectively with other team members, including the marketing, customer success, and sales teams
- Passionate about solving problems, driving urgency, and educating potential customers
- Process oriented - you solve the problem for both today and tomorrow at a quickly innovating company
- Surpassed quota attainment with >2 years selling in the SaaS space
- Are clear self-starters - i.e. individually driven and self-motivated
- Strategic minded seller who doesn’t get lost in the weeds in a high-paced sales environment
- Have a desire to problem solve, not just sell - i.e. consultative sellers
- Possess a deep understanding of software terms - e.g. CRM, front-end / back-end, etc
What the job involves
- As an Account Executive, you will be an integral team member helping thousands of nonprofits each year navigate how to fundraise more and for FREE with Givebutter. You will work closely with the entire inbound team to ensure sales activities are seamless and profitable
- Accountable for 100% of the quota set as the baseline for Account Executives
- Lead needs assessments and demos with prospective clients (incl. C-suite, board members, founders, and development staff)
- Implement personalized follow-up email and call cadences to proactively engage prospective clients in order to win net-new business
- Close sales opportunities at a high rate (both revenue and account-wise) with clear expectations to ensure a smooth start on our platform
- Outbound lead generation as prescribed situationally
- Develop a deep understanding of our ideal customer profile and how they relate to our products and services
- Craft solutions for prospective clients to help them raise six and seven figures per account
- Track sales goals accurately within our CRM to ensure clear automated reporting results on daily, weekly, and monthly bases
Our take
The rise of crowdfunding has helped democratize fundraising for for-profit companies, but the infrastructure for non-profits has lagged behind. Givebutter has set out to change this, supplying a feature-rich, easy to use fundraising platform for the "changemakers of today", which has been used to raise billions of dollars for good causes.
Crucially, unlike other crowdfunding platforms, 100% of the donation typically goes to the campaign, with Givebutter making its money entirely through tips and occasional but transparent transaction fees. In 2022, the company raised capital that has been put to work developing the product to be fit for all types of fundraising.
Having already seen impressive success in certain segments, these new development efforts will help expand Givebutter's reach. For example, it launched a CRM to help it reach more small, local nonprofits, and has released the industry's first donor-advised fund (DAF) donate button, through which donors can recommend a nonprofit for a donation in just three clicks.
