Who you are
- This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, loves building systems, and brings a “COO mindset” to solving complex growth challenges
- 5+ years experience in Growth Ops, BizOps, Strategy, Consulting, or Project/Program Management—preferably in a fast-scaling tech or consumer business
- Strong analytical skillset, with ability to translate data into actionable insights
- Exceptional project management and organizational skills; thrives in ambiguity
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional workstreams with clarity and influence
- Comfortable toggling between high-level strategy and in-the-weeds execution
- Excellent communication skills—concise, structured, and effective with execs

What the job involves
- Growth Marketing Team focuses on driving all new revenue for CookUnity’s business. Our goal is to grow as fast as possible while maintaining a high level We are a test and learn team that rewards contrarian marketers
- We are looking for a Sr. Manager, Growth Ops & Strategy who will function as a right hand to the Head of Growth—a hybrid operator, strategist, and project leader who can translate ideas into execution, drive operational excellence, and orchestrate cross-functional initiatives that fuel sustainable, scalable growth
- Partner closely with the Head of Growth to shape the growth strategy and roadmap across acquisition, retention, lifecycle, partnerships, and new channels
- Conduct deep-dive analyses to uncover insights, evaluate new opportunities, and define the strategic direction for key initiatives
- Build growth led business cases, forecast scenarios, and measure impact across all growth levers
- Own operational rigor for the Growth team by building processes, dashboards, and systems that improve velocity, clarity, and accountability with a focus on AI driven solutions
- Project manage complex, cross-functional initiatives—ensuring alignment across Product, Data, Brand, Engineering, Culinary, Finance, Creative, and Customer Experience
- Define and refine workflows for testing, experimentation, and continuous optimization
- Coordinate go-to-market processes for new launches, campaigns, and product changes
- Serve as the operational spine of the Growth org—keeping priorities tight, optimizing inputs/outputs and stakeholders aligned
- Translate high-level strategy into clear goals, milestones, and action plans
- Identify bottlenecks, proactively resolve blockers, and improve processes to enable scale
- Lead new GTM initiatives such as local marketing expansion and new product line expansion
- Partner with Analytics to streamline/automate OKR tracking, triggers, build clean dashboards, and track team performance
- Monitor trends and funnel dynamics across subscriber acquisition, activation, retention, and reactivation
- Propose and help execute optimization initiatives across the entire user lifecycle
Our take
CookUnity is a meal subscription service which connects consumers with some of the country's best known chefs, including Esther Choi, Chris Ratel and Andy Mendez. Consumers can select from a menu of handcrafted meals that cater to a wide variety of palates and dietary preferences. Believing that healthy food fuels stronger communities, CookUnity contributes to an ongoing partnership and donation with the Food Bank For New York City.
The New York founded business hit the headlines for its upward trajectory in 2020, where it secured $15.5M in funding and saw an expected boost not just in demand, but in the supply of top culinary talent at a time when restaurants were struggling.
While there’s a wide world of meal plan delivery services, CookUnity has a jump on much of the competition as it’s the first service that connects such eminent chefs directly with the customer. This has allowed it to expand across much of the US, and it now prepares over 10M meals annually for its 50,000 subscribers.
With most of the urban US now covered by its service, CookUnity is moving into the next phase of its growth, expanding the range of sellers and food products on the platform, and has plans to offer family-sized portions, breakfast options and cooking classes using its existing physical and digital infrastructure. This will enable it to grow into an all-in-one meal subscription service over the coming years.
