Who you are
- To succeed in this role, you will need to have a genuine interest in the area of Sustainable and Responsible investments, including all aspects of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) research and topics along with a proven track record of revenue outperformance in the Financial Services industry
- The role requires attention to detail, the ability to multi-task, manage the sales process to tight timelines and strong collaboration skills
- 5+ years of relevant working experience either in institutional sales
- Knowledge and understanding of Investment Stewardship and Responsible
- Investment and market infrastructure, including regulatory drivers such as SRD2, EU Taxonomy, Stewardship codes and SFDR
- Excellent presentational skills and inter-personal relationships
- Innovative, customer-oriented thinker able to identify and execute on market opportunities
- Highly systematic, organized and prioritized approach to sales effort in territory
- Absolute personal and business integrity
- Willingness to travel
- Native or proficiency in French required with additional fluency in English
What the job involves
- ISS STOXX is looking for a new member of its sales team to support increasing growth
- You will be working as part of the EMEA Institutional Sales team and will be responsible for selling the full range of Stewardship and Responsible Investment Solutions to existing clients and asset owners, investment managers, and hedge fund prospects
- Achieve revenue and renewal goals
- Identify and close sales prospects and up sales with existing clients
- Maintain current book of ISS STOXX business by establishing relationships with client product managers and decision makers
- Grow ISS STOXX's market share, recognition and perception within the asset owner, investment management, and Hedge Fund community
- Continuously assess market opportunities, define and update a sales plan for territory and discuss with management
- Ensure detailed sales and renewal reporting and forecasting
- Work closely with ISS STOXX Product and Marketing managers to define products, services and marketing plans
- Build and maintain senior relationships amongst existing clients and prospects
- Record all client and prospect contacts and all meeting and telephone activity information into firm's CRM system
- Share relevant industry and opportunity information across the sales group and with other departments

STOXX, previously Qontigo, was created by capital market giants Deutsche Börse Group in 2019 after its acquisition of stock market indexes STOXX and DAX, as well as portfolio construction and risk analytics company Axioma.
By combining index intelligence with Axioma’s risk analytics, the company’s purpose is to provide hedge fund, wealth, and asset managers with the tools to navigate a quickly shifting marketplace. Although STOXX keeps its customer base under wraps, it claims to work with some of the world’s largest asset management companies and financial institutions.
Considering that Deutsche Börse Group operates the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, it’s no surprise that STOXX is operating in such elite circles. The company has already expanded globally through the US, Europe, Asia, and Oceania, and looks set to keep growing, with a potential IPO looking more and more likely in the future.
