Role
Who you are
- 6+ years of product management experience (B2B experience is beneficial)
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and pioneering new segments
- Demonstrated experience in launching 0-1 products
- Technical background with familiarity in consuming and building API gateways
- Highly motivated team player with a startup mindset, capable of handling multiple projects
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently, taking ownership of projects and ensuring quality outcomes
- Passion for problem-solving and a keen intellectual curiosity
- Previous experience in payments and lending is a plus
- Experience working with Property Manager Software providers is advantageous
- Previous experience in fintech, banking, or credit products is advantageous
What the job involves
- Flex is seeking a Lead Product Manager to spearhead our Partners team, focusing on creating efficient and innovative integrations with partners
- In this role, you will lead efforts to improve existing integrations and develop new ones, driving metrics related to B2B growth
- Your role is pivotal in introducing new opportunities to achieve Flex's goals, working closely with Engineering and Go-To-Market teams to drive initiatives and achieve objectives
- This position offers the chance to make a substantial impact on Flex's partner ecosystem and overall growth
- Lead the strategic direction of our B2B growth initiatives, spanning short-term gains to foundational, long-term growth opportunities
- Contribute to strategic decisions on the core platform development focused on the Property ecosystem
- Lead the launch of new features and products to meet Flex's objectives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish key partnerships with potential partners
- Drive end-to-end development of partner-facing offerings, from concept to high-quality execution, in partnership with engineering and Go-To-Market teams
Our take
Many people struggle to pay their rent every month, with a variety of bills hitting their bank accounts simultaneously. Whilst many of these people earn enough money to cover their bills, the inflexible nature of monthly bills can make the all-in-one payment a harder obstacle.
Flex provides a mobile application for the flexible payment of rent, allowing users to pay their landlords through flexible payment plans, reschedule payments when necessary, and protect their funds through Overdraft Protection. The company achieves this by partnering with estate agents and paying their resident's bills upfront, taking on the challenges that landlords would normally have due to late payments.
Flex has experienced extremely rapid growth since its founding which has caused some issues, as it struggled to keep up with the surge in new customers. Having made improvements to its product and scaled its customer service team, it is set to continue providing a service that has come to be highly valued by both tenants and landlords.
