Role
Who you are
- Advanced degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) in a quantitative field with 2+ years of work experience or Bachelors with 5+ years of work experience as a data scientist or data engineer
- Experience with experimental design and analysis
- Proficient in SQL & business intelligence tools
- Competency in Python, R, or another scripting language
- Strong analytical skills, with experience solving ambiguous problems using data
- Ability to analyze and condense data to tell a persuasive story
- Proven ability to effectively communicate with cross-functional teams
- Self-starter, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, drive change through influence, and collaborate effectively with a variety of cross-functional stakeholders

What the job involves
- We’re looking for a Senior Data Scientist with a passion for product analytics to partner with our product and cross-functional teams. The primary focus will be on generating high-impact, data-driven insights that guide our product strategies and help us deliver exceptional customer experiences.
- You will be responsible for building a strong understanding of our ecosystem, working with the product team to determine which projects are the most important, and being willing to use the right tool (a scripted model, a dashboard, a presentation) to find and explain the relevant and timely findings that help us operate better. This is an opportunity for someone with excellent data intuition and a strong understanding of product metrics to shape the future of our products.
- Collaborate closely with Product teams to generate insights that drive improvements in key business metrics such as growth, revenue, and engagement
- Build and maintain internal dashboards to monitor the health of product and business performance, delivering timely and actionable insights
- Deliver ad-hoc analyses and reports to support business needs, investigate, triage, and resolve metrics-based issues independently
- Design and analyze experiments and observational studies to produce actionable insights and drive product optimizations
- Develop compelling data narratives and presentations to inspire teams and stakeholders to take informed actions
- Develop quantitative methods and models to measure and improve the effectiveness of user experience and experiments

Nurses and allied healthcare providers can utilize the platform to secure a job when it suits them and at their preferred rates. Healthcare centers use the system to find suitable employees, manage their workforce, and track billable hours.
There is a worldwide nursing shortage, with burnout common among healthcare professionals, leaving many healthcare employers to increasingly rely on data-driven recruitment tools such as Medely. By offering greater flexibility, and bringing casual work to healthcare, the company aims to reduce shortages and increase industry retention - even giving workers who previously left the sector a way back in.
Medely has secured a good stance in the field of the nursing gig economy, with several thousands of hospitals and outpatient facilities using the company for their staffing needs. That said, with a collection of competitors such as IntelyCare, CareRev, and Nomad - all of which also offer marketplaces for health care workers - Medely must work hard to continue growing its presence.
