Role
Who you are
- The ideal candidate is equally comfortable building financial models, analyzing complex transactions, and rolling up their sleeves to solve operational challenges in a fast-moving startup environment
- 2+ years of experience in investment banking, working for an ABS issuer, or with a top structured finance accounting firm
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Experience in capital-intensive fintech is a plus
- Strong blend of strategic and tactical execution skills; capable of influencing strategy while also handling detailed tasks
- Excellent communicator with a focus on building relationships and alignment, both internally and externally
- Demonstrated ability to be resourceful and thrive in dynamic, rapidly evolving environments
- Proficient in Excel with strong financial modeling skills
What the job involves
- Slope is building the next generation of credit infrastructure for businesses. As a member of our Capital Markets team, you'll help power the funding engine behind billions of dollars in future lending volume by managing warehouse facilities, executing loan sales, and developing new institutional funding channels
- This is a highly cross-functional role at the intersection of structured finance, fintech, and technology. You'll work directly with company leadership, banking partners, investors, and some of the world's largest financial institutions to help scale Slope's lending platform
- Manage the day-to-day on our existing warehouse lines, including facility drawdowns, monitoring, and reporting
- Manage forward flow loan sale relationships
- Work with senior team members to manage external relationships with Slope’s funding partners, investors, lawyers, and auditors
- Analyze and interpret the impact on various funding strategies (warehouse facilities, loan sales, and ABS securitizations) while working in the context of broader corporate goals
- Ensure accuracy and fidelity of loan and payment tapes, and month-end reporting
- Identify opportunities to streamline or automate processes to enable the company’s rapid growth
- Work cross-functionally throughout the organization to build the technology and risk infrastructure needed to support the broader capital markets function
- Serve as the capital markets partner for new product initiatives by assessing financeability and data/reporting requirements

Buy now, pay later financing options are growing increasingly popular in the B2C space, but so far B2B businesses have been underserved. Slope seeks to address this imbalance, making it easier for B2B businesses to offer buy now, pay later financing options at checkout through its platform.
Compared to other providers, Slope's technology is fast and effective. It's no surprise that the company has already made a considerable impact, and boasts the backing of companies such as DoorDash and Opendoor.
