Role
Who you are
- You feel equally at home in the backend as well as on the frontend and bring your experience to bear in both areas, whether it's complex architectures or the design of single-page applications, with backend being your main strength
- You know the ins & outs of Node.js, JavaScript / TypeScript, React & Redux and ideally also Nest.js
- You are a power user of AI-based tools (ideally, have experience with GitHub Copilot) and you know how to boost your productivity with them safely and responsibly
- You have working experience with building cloud applications on AWS
- You write well-structured, efficient and maintainable code and actively keep the quality of the code base in check
- You have excellent analytical & problem-solving skills and a solution-oriented & KPI-driven working style
- You are a strong communicator, your English is at a very good level (>C1) and you live in Germany
What the job involves
- You are part of one of our cross-functional product teams, developing software that improves our customers' daily productivity
- You plan, architect & develop applications within our tech stack, which includes Node.js, Rest API, MySQL, MongoDB, Kubernetes, Docker, Git/GitLab, Nest.js, React, Redux, Material UI, all using JavaScript/TypeScript running on AWS
- You work closely with Product Owners, Designers & the team’s Scrum Master to create high quality features that delight our customers
- You collaborate closely with fellow developers to build lasting, scalable, highly available, and reliable technical solutions, ensuring the overall excellence of our software platform
- You think outside the box and bring your ideas to improve our product or increase our developer experience to the table

Our take
Compared to other industries, the real estate sector has been rather left behind by technological developments, still relying on old-fashioned record-keeping and telephone communications. But the recent arrival of PropTech startups are changing that. casavi is one such company, aiming to digitise the industry with a collaborative property management platform.
casavi's platform automates and streamlines many aspects of the property management business, allowing for online ticketing and service apps for tenants. Most notably, its collaborative platform, Relay, allows real-time communication between over 50,000 real estate service providers. As an early mover in a sector urgently in need of modernisation, casavi has quickly earned a client base of over 1,600 property managers, housing associations and commercial property owners with a collective portfolio of over 130,000 buildings.
Having raised funding, casavi is moving to cement its leading position in the DACH PropTech sector. It is working to develop its product with a focus on automation features, expand its partnership scheme to more real estate services and build out its team. In the longer term, it will scale its solution and increase its customer base in the DACH region.
