Who you are
- At least 5 years of experience in software product design
- Proven experience creating, implementing, and scaling design systems across multiple products
- Experience building workflow products for specialized power users in a B2B environment
- Experience designing interfaces for AI products
- Deep expertise in Figma, especially tooling for component libraries, system documentation, and cross-functional adoption
- Excellent qualitative user research skills
- Strong written communication skills
- Execution mindset with the ability to set and meet deadlines
- Startup experience and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
What the job involves
- We’re looking for a Product Designer, Design Systems, to help shape the future of legal tech and push the boundaries of how AI can serve those seeking justice
- In this role, you’ll lead complex, high-impact initiatives from concept to launch—designing scalable solutions that power critical legal workflows and equipping personal injury attorneys with the tools they need to advocate effectively for their clients
- You’ll partner closely with engineering, product, and AI/ML teams to drive strategy, establish scalable design patterns, and bring clarity to ambiguous problem spaces
- This is a high-leverage opportunity to influence foundational architecture, champion design excellence, and define what great looks like in a technically sophisticated, mission-driven environment
- You’ll report to the Head of Design and collaborate with a growing team of designers who care deeply about impact, craft, and consistency across products
- Lead the creation, maintenance, and evolution of our design system, ensuring consistency, scalability, and adoption across products
- Take ownership of the design process for a product area, from strategy to user flows and interaction design, with a strong focus on reusable components and scalable patterns
- Conduct user research and usability testing to understand internal and external user needs, translating insights into efficient, accessible, and delightful product experiences
- Create high-fidelity designs and prototypes for AI-powered solutions that scale across platforms and support complex workflows
- Collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, data scientists, and AI researchers to ship high-quality features efficiently
- Use your expertise to shape product and design strategy, advocating for system-wide consistency and design best practices
- Mentor and elevate the design craft of the team, fostering growth and maintaining high standards in design thinking, execution, and system adoption
Our take
Every year, millions of personal injury cases in the US are resolved with only a small fraction going to trial, leaving many victims potentially under-compensated due to inaccurate settlement proposals. EvenUp aims to change this by leveraging AI technology to streamline the assessment of injury cases.
The AI tools evaluate raw case files, including medical and police records, creating tailored "demand packages" that present comprehensive compensation arguments. This improves lawyer performance and victim outcomes.
Despite concerns about AI bias and privacy, EvenUp has garnered significant investor interest, closing a funding round in 2025 that was one of the largest in the history of legal AI. Now valued at over $2 billion, it is investing in its team and introducing new techniques and products for personal injury and other legal areas.
