Role
Who you are
- Several years of professional experience as a programmer in the games industry
- Strong expertise in C# and solid knowledge of C++
- Significant experience developing games with Unity (mobile experience is a strong plus)
- At least one shipped game on iOS and/or Android
- Broad understanding of game technology areas (gameplay, graphics, tools, performance)
- Familiarity with additional scripting languages (Python, Lua, etc.)
- Proven ability to quickly understand and improve existing codebases
- Passion for games and for delivering polished player experiences
- Strong knowledge of the Free-to-Play model and its requirements
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and scalable code
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to align and influence across disciplines

- We are seeking an experienced and versatile developer who combines deep technical expertise with a strong passion for mobile gaming.
- You thrive in a dynamic and agile environment, are proactive in proposing solutions, and can mentor other developers while collaborating effectively across disciplines.
- You have a proven track record of delivering polished, engaging gameplay experiences and are excited about pushing quality and innovation further
- Design, develop, and optimize gameplay features for mobile games (iOS and Android)
- Take ownership of complex systems, from prototyping through production and live operations
- Collaborate closely with designers, artists, producers, and other engineers to ensure a cohesive and fun player experience
- Uphold and improve code quality, architecture, and performance across the project
- Mentor and support other programmers, providing technical guidance and best practices
- Contribute across multiple areas of development (gameplay, UI, tools, data systems, optimization)
- Integrate and maintain external tools and SDKs, ensuring smooth pipelines and stable releases

Consumers now expect significantly better quality and value from mobile games, but this generally means that they rapidly reduce battery life and require expensive high-spec phones to run smoothly.
Oh BiBi develops video games for smartphones, focusing on producing high-quality releases designed specifically for mobile, whilst using minimal battery life and running on minimal specifications, yet feeling as engaging as AAA releases. The company releases its games with a freemium approach, allowing users to play the games without charge, whilst providing tactically-placed in-game purchases.
Whilst the company has countless well-established mobile game developers to compete with, Oh BiBi stands out with its streamlined approach to making games that use minimal power and battery life. The company has also taken the unique angle of developing games specifically for low-spec smartphone gameplay, as opposed to the problematic yet common approach of porting high-spec console games to smartphones.
