Role
Who you are
- 1-3 years of professional work experience; ideally 1+ year of experience within an Operations position
- Experience leading teams or groups preferred
- Demonstrated expertise with the London region and ability to anticipate operational needs and/or challenges within this area
- Grit and an entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to work in an ambiguous environment
- High-energy and sound decision maker with the ability to make data-based decisions with a cost focused mindset
- Fluent verbal and written English & [Local Language for Country hiring in] language skills
- Familiarity with Excel and Google Sheets (Tableau & SQL knowledge would be a bonus) with the ability to navigate and draw inference from data
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
What the job involves
- As an Operations Associate, you will enhance our fleet, coordinate our teams in the warehouse and in the field, and be the local eyes and ears on the ground to understand the local needs of our riders
- You will tackle challenges along our operational journey from the moment a vehicle arrives in our warehouse, until a customer ends their ride
- This role is a great opportunity to be at the forefront of shaping the future of mobility in London
- Hire, train, and provide coaching to all levels of Mechanics and Fleet Support positions responsible for deploying and retrieving our shared electric vehicle
- Build a safe, compliant and efficient warehouse environment that supplies a fully operational fleet of vehicles for London
- Define new processes and best practices to drive operational excellence within the warehouse
- Partner cross-functionally on operations projects that result in identifying expansion opportunities within your region(s)
- Define and monitor KPIs that measure the profitability, revenue, and operational performance of your market(s)
- Provide complaint management and customer incidents investigation support
- Partner with the local Government Relations representative to manage key Legal, Regulatory and Safety issues
- Maintain positive relationships between customers, regulators/city officials, employees, and Lime management
- Collaborate with Engineering and Product teams to drive local initiatives for revenue growth

In recent years, electric-powered mobility companies have attracted an extraordinary amount of interest and funding, in part due to rising eco-friendly sentiment, and in part because of the race to "find the next Uber". Lime is one such company, that has rapidly scaled across multiple geographies to be a key player in the fight for market leadership.
Lime, along with its competitors, has had to grapple with regulation in many of its target markets, but nonetheless has steadily increased its footprint. Since its launch, the company has facilitated millions of trips, making it one of the biggest companies of its kind. Interestingly, the CEO has stated that "cars are our true business rivals—not other scooter companies", suggesting that its biggest business challenge will be to get families to give up their second cars.
With a presence that spans an impressive number of regions - in 2023, Lime began operating in Qatar - the company has cemented itself in the micromobility market and stands to profit from the increasing popularity of these types of services. A substantial increase in ridership enabled Lime to achieve "free cash flow positivity" two years in a row, with suggestions it will pursue a US IPO in 2027.
