- Passion for technology and Software Engineering

- 5+ years of experience developing B2C iOS applications at scale

What the job involves
- As Senior Software Engineer, iOS in the Rider Experience team you focus on growing our user base by deploying the right incentives and removing friction in our user onboarding
- Develop our Tier & Dott iOS applications in close collaboration with your team of Software Engineers, Engineering Manager, Product Manager and Designer, participating in all aspects of the software development lifecycle
- Ensure stability and scalability of our apps by a consistent application of clean architecture and industry best practices
- Ship app updates to the App Store, monitor the health of your applications in production, debugging and mitigating issues as they arise, communicating with stakeholders to align priorities, escalate impediments and inform them of progress

Our take
TIER is a micro-mobility and e-scooter company that offers accessible and affordable mobility services by partnering with municipalities, public and private organisations, and other transportation providers. They are the first fully climate-neutral provider in the micro-mobility sector, with e-scooters known for their safety-first design, including bigger front wheels, wider foot plates, and a double-kick stand. TIER addresses emissions linked to charging, production, operations, and transportation.
Having received substantial funding since 2018, TIER is now focusing on expanding into the Middle East while updating safety features in Europe to comply with evolving city regulations. The challenge for TIER is to stand out in a crowded market, competing with firms like Bird and Lime, and navigating increasing government regulations.
In 2024, TIER announced a merger with Amsterdam-based Dott to form Europe’s leading micro-mobility operator. The combined entity, backed by €60M in equity from investors like Mubadala Capital and Sofina, will operate under both names, generating €250M in revenue and supporting over 125M trips annually. The new company will focus on providing sustainable transportation options, reducing car usage, and integrating seamlessly with public transport across major global cities.
