Senior Accountant, #Paid

• Proven experience: 3–5+ years in full-cycle accounting with clear examples of independently managing payroll, reconciliations, and month-end close
• Accounting education: Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with CPA designation (or in progress) preferred
• Payroll expertise: Strong working knowledge of Canadian payroll practices, legislation, and tools like ADP
• Detail orientation: Meticulous with numbers and able to spot discrepancies or inefficiencies
• Initiative & ownership: Proactive and solutions-oriented with a track record of making improvements without needing to be asked
• Tech-savvy: Comfortable using accounting software like QuickBooks, NetSuite, or Xero along with Excel or Google Sheets

• You’ll play a critical role in ensuring financial accuracy, managing payroll, leading monthly reconciliations, and driving operational excellence across our accounting processes

• Full-Cycle Accounting: Manage and execute end-to-end accounting functions, including journal entries, accruals, and month-end close processes
• Payroll: Own payroll processing and compliance, collaborating with People Ops to ensure accuracy and timeliness across provinces
• Reconciliations: Lead monthly balance sheet and account reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies to ensure accuracy
• Revenue Recognition: A strong understanding of revenue recognition with experience managing different revenue streams
• Accounts Payable: Oversee all AP activity, ensuring timely, accurate, and policy-compliant payments to vendors and creators
• Expense Management: Own tools like Float and Navan, ensuring adherence to internal policies and complete documentation
• Fixed Assets & Prepaids: Maintain accurate schedules and ensure proper treatment for amortization and reporting
• Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to streamline workflows, reduce errors, and support scalability
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Revenue, Operations, and People teams to improve financial visibility and support business decisions
• Audit & Reporting Support: Assist with year-end audits, tax filings, and ad hoc financial reporting
