Role
Who you are
- Strong proficiency in modern frontend technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript) and frameworks such as React or Angular
- Solid understanding of responsive design principles, CSS frameworks, and modern styling approaches (CSS-in-JS, Tailwind, etc.)
- Experience with modern build tools and development workflows (Webpack, Vite, npm/yarn, Git)
- Knowledge of web performance optimization techniques
- Understanding of RESTful APIs and experience integrating frontend applications with backend services
- Familiarity with testing frameworks and methodologies (Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress)
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in UI/UX implementation
- 2-4 years of professional frontend development experience with a demonstrable portfolio of web applications
Desirable
- Experience with additional frontend frameworks such as Vue.js, Angular, or Next.js
- Knowledge of GraphQL and modern API integration patterns
- Knowledge of accessibility best practices (WCAG compliance)
- Familiarity with design tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD for design-to-code workflows
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies for frontend applications
- Experience with micro-frontend architectures or component library development
- Knowledge of web security best practices and common vulnerabilities
- Experience with performance monitoring and analytics tools
What the job involves
- Design and develop responsive, high-performance web applications that deliver exceptional user experiences
- Collaborate closely with product and design teams to translate mockups and wireframes into pixel-perfect, interactive interfaces
- Build reusable UI components and maintain a cohesive design system that scales across multiple products
- Optimize application performance, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility to ensure seamless experiences for all users
- Integrate frontend applications with backend APIs and services to create dynamic, data-driven user interfaces
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes to maintain high code quality standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including backend engineers, designers, and product managers to deliver cohesive solutions
- Stay current with modern frontend technologies, frameworks, and best practices to drive continuous improvement
Our take
These days, all sorts of cards abound, from virtual cards to co-branded credit cards. Imprint aims to stand out in the increasingly crowded space by partnering with businesses to provide branded rewards cards for customers.
While there has been an increase in the number of companies offering branded financial products to reduce costs, Imprint sees its card programs as offering a new platform for deepening customer relationships: less of the nastiness of credit and a much greater focus on rewards.
The startup is focusing on refining its embedded finance solution to fulfil its vision of an Apple-pay like experience for merchants and consumers.
Imprint will hope that its lightweight service, fit for smaller customers like hotel chains, will allow it to compete with the major venture-backed players in the space like Cardless, Apto and Alviere. And its $75M in venture capital raised in 2023 is going some way towards achieving these aims.
