Project Operations Manager, Riipen

• This position is perfect for someone who is passionate about project management and helping deserving learners bridge the gap between education and employment
• This is a perfect role for a project manager who can be both tactical and strategic in their approach and is also able to use their operational expertise to support and stabilize projects post-launch
• You are also someone who welcomes changing gears frequently throughout a given day or week, with a wide variety of internal, government, non-profit, and private sector stakeholders to manage
• 5+ years of experience in project management, either as an individual contributor or project manager/lead, including
• Managing multiple projects and project stakeholders simultaneously
• Managing projects with large enterprise partners/funders (government, large corporations, consortiums, etc.)
• Leveraging data to forecast and report on complex project delivery
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to lead and inspire a team to drive project and portfolio success
• Proven experience leading and managing teams to achieve results
• A CAPM or PMP certification
• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields

• Riipen is looking for a Project Operations Manager (internally referred to as a Project Manager) to join our Strategic Projects Team!
• Our Strategic Projects department works at the intersection of all of our client-facing teams
• This team facilitates and executes partnership projects using the Riipen Platform, ultimately providing work-integrated learning experiences to tens of thousands of learners and students
• This role takes the lead on managing and executing a portfolio of large partnership projects in both Canada and more recent partnerships with US partners
• This involves engaging and partnering with Riipen’s Strategic Partnerships Team as the transitory point of contact turning that partnership agreement into a functional project
• You will lead the ongoing development, implementation, support, and tracking of these projects, forecasting, measuring, and reporting progress weekly to senior internal and external stakeholders, including government and private sector funders
• You will work closely with Riipen’s Operations, Finance, Customer Success, and Partner Relations teams
• On any given day, you might be interfacing with external stakeholders and clients and nurturing relationships, leading internal meetings to update Riipen’s leadership on project progress and forecasting, strategizing the team’s resourcing, improving logistical and process efficiency, and coordinating and communicating changes
• This is not a spectator management or PM role; this is a role that will see you jumping into projects, executing work, and nurturing partnerships
• Lead and manage a portfolio of strategic projects and be accountable for their successful delivery
• Develop and operationalize project execution plans for all projects in your portfolio
• Develop and manage project milestones
• Contract and client management, including scheduling invoicing and developing the potential for contract renewal and expansion
• Lead all project reporting for projects in your portfolio: this includes internal project reporting (e.g. revenue reporting) and reporting required by external stakeholders and partners
• Lead all project forecasting for projects in your portfolio (for example, number of learner or student experiences to be delivered by a particularly project), reporting regularly to the VP, Finance
• Work closely with the VP, Operations to coordinate resources from the strategic projects team to accelerate ecosystem growth and impact
• Consult with the Strategic Initiatives team to build implementation and execution planning into the grant application process
• Consult with marketing team on the creation of marketing collateral and campaigns required for the successful execution of Riipen projects
• Identify opportunities for process improvements that result in greater project delivery efficiency
• Champion and lead x-departmental collaboration to successfully deliver projects
• Champion first-class user experience for individuals interacting with a Riipen led project or program
• Develop and deliver Project Management best practices and frameworks at Riipen
• Participate in one-on-one and team training as offered
