Role
Who you are
- The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of social-first strategies and a deep passion for fashion, style, and brand storytelling
- Proven experience (2-3 years) creating engaging social-first content for fashion brands or similar industries, with a strong portfolio showcasing original work on Instagram and TikTok
- Expertise in video and photo editing, with the ability to create visually compelling and trend-driven content
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, specifically Instagram and TikTok, and a deep knowledge of current trends, algorithmic changes, and best practices
- Passionate about fashion, style, and product storytelling with a keen eye for aesthetics and detail
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with creative teams
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects while maintaining high attention to detail
What the job involves
- Highsnobiety is looking for a dynamic and creative Social Media Editor to create content across our Instagram and TikTok channels, focusing on product and brand storytelling through visually impactful, story-driven content, directly from our flagship store in Berlin
- Create original content: Ideate, plan, and execute compelling video and photo content for Instagram and TikTok that showcases Highsnobiety’s products and brands, with a focus on product storytelling
- Storytelling & brand focus: Develop creative narratives that highlight Highsnobiety's passion for fashion, luxury, and streetwear, utilizing the flagship store as the backdrop
- Collaborate with the brand team: Work closely with the brand and storytelling team to ensure that all content aligns with Highsnobiety’s voice, aesthetic, and storytelling goals
- Stay on top of trends: Keep up with the latest trends, platform updates, and best practices for Instagram and TikTok to ensure our content remains fresh, innovative, and engaging
- Post & manage content: Handle the scheduling, publishing, and daily management of posts, ensuring consistency and quality across channels
- Engage & grow community: Actively engage with our social media community by responding to comments, messages, and keeping the conversation around our content and products alive
Our take
Starting out as a fashion blog, Highsnobiety has grown into a major global media company and online retailer operating at the forefront of street fashion and culture. It is an authoritative source to discover upcoming trends in music, fashion and culture, as well as an online outlet to shop brands such as Adidas and Prada, plus its own collections.
This move into eCommerce has proved to be a smart one, as Highsnobiety has successfully ridden the wave of global online sales growth, and makes a large proportion of its revenue from its online store. This in turn fuels its fashion reporting and research into the luxury industry, allowing the company to stay ahead of cultural and fashion trends through regular studies and white papers.
After being acquired by Zalando in 2022, Highsnobiety has maintained its independence while benefiting from the extra reach and resources of its parent company. In return, it supports Zalando in reaching younger and more fashion-first audiences, as it continues to launch new collaborations and remain a powerful voice in the street fashion world.
