Who you are
- A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- 1-3 years of experience in an HR role, with a strong emphasis on recruitment and talent management
- A solid grasp of HR principles and practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish connections with individuals at all levels of the organization
- Experience in effectively managing and refining programs and processes
- A high level of integrity and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to effectively manage multiple ongoing priorities
- A willingness to set higher standards and question conventional practices
What the job involves
- Attracting top talent is key to our success, and we are looking for a dedicated PeopleOps Generalist with a focus on recruitment and onboarding to join our People team
- Manage the entire recruitment process from job postings to final offer
- Manage the employee onboarding process and experience to facilitate a smooth transition into their roles
- Source diverse talent through various channels and cultivate our employer brand
- Coordinate, streamline and evolve the hiring process, enhancing the candidate experience
- Maintain recruitment systems and ensure accurate documentation
- Contribute to other People Ops functions as needed, such as employee engagement, performance and talent management, and HR Technology and Analytics
- We are a small but ambitious People team of two (see above: Allan on the left & Andrew on the right), striving to create the world's best remote workplace
- We wear many hats as we continue building an amazing employee experience for about 100 people at Doist who are based all over the world

- Design your own schedule. Work during the time of day that’s best for you. Doisters are encouraged to work 8-hour days and no more than 40 hours/week

Our take
The COVID-19 pandemic has led to almost every company having to find temporary remote solutions for their workforces, with many choosing to continue this due to the benefits of real-time digital collaboration. However, working from home comes with a variety of disbenefits too, including being continuously distracted by notifications and overwhelmed by relentless real-time collaboration.
Doist builds digital tools for remote workers, aiming to develop software that is less distracting, more integrated, and better for mental wellbeing than existing solutions. The company currently provides two key products - Todoist, an all-in-one task organizer, and Twist, a communication app that aims to help workforces balance focused work through asynchronous collaboration and notification-free communication.
The remote work sector has been saturated with productivity tools ever since the COVID-19 pandemic began, but Doist has taken a unique approach by tackling the frustrations many people face with standardized features such as constant notifications and real-time communication. Furthermore, the company provides its software directly to individuals for free, a unique angle over the usual enterprise SaaS subscription model.
