Who you are

An ideal candidate will have a strong aptitude for identifying opportunities to improve user experience, robust experience translating design frameworks into code to improve the Gemini mobile app, and a proactive desire to collaborate with fellow developers, designers, and marketing managers to present a shared artistic vision
You have 2+ years of React Native experience
You have 3+ years of frontend/mobile development experience
You are comfortable working with Typescript and/or Javascript, but also not afraid to jump into Swift or Kotlin as needed
You have a strong understanding of UX/UI concepts and a demonstrated record of design sensibility
You have knowledge of mobile best practices and stay informed about innovations in the mobile industry
You have experience writing unit tests with Jest and React Native Testing Library

Desirable

Experience working with Bitcoin, Ethereum, and/or blockchain technology a huge plus
Experience with using Storybook for UI component documentation
Experience with React Native Reanimated
Knowledge of unit and integration testing
Knowledge of accessibility best practices

Focus on leading technical decision making building highly complex, highly trafficked, consumer facing web services
Build elegant and efficient maintainable solutions in React Native
Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to design and deliver high-quality products on iOS and Android
Drive technical innovation, processes, and best practices required to deliver best-in-class mobile applications

Gemini is a cryptocurrency exchange platform that's known for offering excellent security as well as being available across the US, including in New York - a state not often covered by crypto exchanges.

As a trading platform, Gemini is one of many, but a dedication to innovation and a commitment to working within FCA regulations are what make it stand out from the crowd. After acquiring Blockrize in 2021, the company launched a credit card for US customers that enables them to earn a small percentage of spending back in bitcoin rewards. They also launched the Gemini dollar, a 1:1 USD-backed stablecoin, that combines the price stability of the US dollar with the technological advantages of a cryptocurrency.

The crypto exchange market is crowded with exchange platforms, and Gemini's competitors include giants like Coinbase. However, by operating within regulations and with the recent announcement of its official registration as a digital asset service provider in Europe (where it serves more than a dozen countries), Gemini is in a strong position to face the continued crackdown on unauthorized activity in this market and make a space for itself in the DeFi future.
