Who you are
- Ability to teach, coach and elevate others in complex, evolving environments
- Willingness to be highly hands-on and tactical, while driving broader strategy
- Comfortable with rapid change and evolving market dynamics, and adept at guiding others through these changes
- Highly effective at developing pipeline generation strategies and scalable processes
- Demonstrated ability to hone in on the most critical aspects of each sales opportunity and strategically navigate these nuances, in order to successfully close complex enterprise deals
- Proven ability to identify and develop new business with prospects, through building and growing genuine relationships with decision makers
- Familiarity with marketing strategies and emerging technologies, allowing for high-impact partnerships with marketing and sales teams
- Proficiency in leveraging a consultative and evangelical sales approach, understanding clients' needs and challenges, and offering tailored solutions that align with their business objectives
- 5+ years of demonstrated success selling Enterprise SaaS, ideally within a marketing technology, sales automation, or data-oriented domain
- Experience in an early to mid-stage startup environment
- Demonstrated track record of driving substantial revenue growth through effective leadership of high-performing sales teams
What the job involves
- We’re seeking a dynamic Director of Sales to help lead, support and scale our enterprise sales team, as we enter our next exciting chapter of growth
- Reporting directly to our VP of Sales, you will play pivotal role in translating our overarching Go-To-Market strategy into actionable strategies and execution, ensuring alignment with individual account needs and enabling our sales team to effectively drive deal progression
- You will offer a blend of strategic insight and tactical guidance, taking a leadership role in supporting Sales Executives to cultivate pipelines, propel deal progression, and attain ambitious sales objectives
- Lead Sales Executives in a hands-on capacity to foster pipeline growth, drive deal progression, and achieve ambitious sales targets
- Partner with VP of Sales to distill the broader GTM strategy into actionable plans for individual accounts, empowering the sales team to achieve successful deal outcomes
- Collaborate with Sales Executives to to craft a comprehensive territory plan that delineates strategies for their priority accounts
- Equip your team to strategically leverage the full spectrum of company resources, including partnership programs, marketing collateral, Sales Engineers, and GrowthLoop leadership
- Coach the sales team on effective social selling techniques and empower Sales Executives to develop customized strategies that resonate with the unique challenges and opportunities of each prospect
- Provide support and mentorship to Sales Executives by participating and leading in client and prospect meetings
- Facilitate quicker ramp-up times by orchestrating pitch bootcamps, pitch training sessions, and collaborative sales recording reviews
- Apply strategic thinking to enhance lead conversion rates and penetrate key clients accounts
- Observe current outreach and opportunity generation practices, immerse yourself in team metrics, and identify areas of improvement at scale
