Role
Who you are
- You will be an experienced Project Manager, capable of hitting the ground running and adding value quickly
- We are looking for someone with a strong track record of managing complex projects from inception to completion
- Extensive experience of handling a complex combination of workstreams
- Prince2 qualification is an advantage
- You will have experience of collaborating with senior stakeholders
- Experience of Central Government or public sector is an advantage
- You'll be expected to be in our London offices 2-3 times per week, with travel to the client when required (weekly)
- Ideally you will have an interest in Social Value / Community Wealth Building / Economic Regeneration
What the job involves
- You will be working as part of the Social Value Portal team within a Central Government Department, in their quest to measure and quantify the Social Value that is created in their buildings and capital project works
- The SVP PM will be the focal point for all activities related to social value work across the agency, ensuring alignment and working to resolve any potential gaps, mismatches or duplication
- You will be accountable to the Portfolio Director for all agreed workstreams, providing continual updates on progress against each workstream
- You will manage a newly created Social Value Working Group which will be chaired by the Portfolio Director and will be the governance for reviewing any major social value workstream recommendations and agreeing any major decisions. The SVP PM will need to work with the Portfolio Director to set up the first Social Value Working Group and agree membership and format
- You will need to report regularly into two main Department governance boards and other forms of governance
- You will maintain an active project schedule of all workstreams and maintain all necessary project artefacts such as action trackers etc
