Who you are
- The ideal candidate is driven, organized, and has the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- BS in Information Systems, Information Technology, Business, related field, or equivalent experience
- Vendor Relation experience, preferably in the credit and debit card space
- Excellent organization skills, ability to communicate with multiple teams, and ability to apply critical thinking to problem solve custom solutions
- Excellent technical troubleshooting and problem solving skills
- Working knowledge and ability to guide clients on needed with APIs, cloud networking, tools to test/troubleshoot API issues, and software development lifecycle
- 4+ years of IT Project Management experience preferred
- Proficient in building an effective project plan that takes into account technical details, internal and external dependencies, shared resources, and risks
- Proven ability to earn trust, build and maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
What the job involves
- In this position, you will work in a high-impact role driving the integration of third-party applications and services
- This will include coordinating with business units, product divisions, and cross-functional teams both internal and external to Galileo
- You will be responsible for defining, communicating, and executing technical integrations of external applications
- You’ll play the critical role of steering and prioritizing the efforts of internal and external product teams to drive the client to a successful market launch while managing technical and business risk
- Navigate various third party applications to configure needed services
- Gather, document, communicate, and prioritize both business and technical requirements for third party product offerings
- Review status of projects, set deadlines, manage schedules, and prepare status reports
- Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives
- Collaborate with internal project staff resources to execute project plans
- Assist with training and mentoring of new teammates
- Participate in evaluating existing systems and business functions for Go To Market strategy and refine analysis through actual implementation activities
- Gather, communicate, and prioritize both business and technical requirements for new projects to fulfill client needs
- Balance project planning, execution, risk, issue mitigation, and escalation to management as appropriate
- Participate and develop new processes that align closely with company and department OKRs while onboarding new projects and opportunities

While companies like Revolut, Monzo, and Wise have been at the forefront of this digital revolution, Galileo has been a major background player.
In essence, the 2001-founded company provides some of the world’s leading fintechs (including the aforementioned Monzo and Wise), with the software and infrastructure they need to issue cards, process payments, and build innovative digital banking products.
The Fintech industry as a whole sat up and took notice when SoFi acquired Galileo for $1.2 billion in 2020, a year before going public. However, it's worth noting that since then, Galileo has continued operating as an independent subsidiary.
New partnerships with the likes of Fundbox and Global Rewards indicate that business is still booming for Galileo, while the company also looks to be exploring new, potentially very lucrative avenues in the crypto industry.
