Research Data Analyst Internship, Medicom

• Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server (T-SQL), including:
• Writing and troubleshooting SQL queries and stored procedures
• Performing ETL processes
• Managing database objects (tables, views, constraints, etc.)
• Analyzing large datasets for reporting and quality assurance

• Medicom is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Research Data Analyst Intern to support our Intellect platform
• This intern will play a key role in data discovery, analysis, and sampling processes that support commercial and research projects
• This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience with real-world healthcare data, SQL, Python, and cloud technologies in a dynamic team environment
• Perform initial data exploration and cohort identification within data provider environments
• Write and execute SQL queries to support data extraction and reporting
• Use Python scripts to assist with DICOM data discovery and transformation
• Maintain and understand basic data specifications
• Utilize internal tools to identify and prepare data cohorts
• Conduct basic quality control checks on sample data
• Prepare and deliver datasets to AWS environments
• Assist in prepping and executing data collection activities
• Support data delivery for internal and external stakeholders
• Participate in team stand-ups, bi-weekly meetings, and 1:1s with the VP of Intellect
• Shadow the Program Manager to gain exposure to:
• Salesforce/TaskRay workflows
• Work order and pricing documentation
• Data specification and setup processes
• Part-Time (22-25 hours/week, not to exceed 30 hours/week)
• Internship Duration: Minimum commitment of 6 months
