What the job involves
- The data science team is looking for a data scientist focused on analytics and reporting to translate product questions and ideas into actionable insights
- This is an exciting opportunity for applicants with experience in traditional web companies to upskill in web3 while bringing their product analytics experiences to a dynamic new product area
- Individuals with web3 backgrounds will get to further develop their web3 skills with one of the most performant blockchains and with a team that has deep connections to the space
- The successful candidate will partner with our product and engineering teams to conceptualize, measure, and report on product rollouts, chain health, and ecosystem behaviors
- This work will focus on building descriptive dashboards and generating one-off analyses for product partners. The ideal applicant has very strong SQL and visualization skills, and can potentially work in R or Python for larger analyses
- The product team at Mysten is constantly pushing the boundaries of what web3 can be and the open role requires a candidate who can merge quick iteration with creative ideation
- Create dashboards that drive product understanding for our PMs, engineers, and our founders
- Run analyses to identify high impact applications for Mysten Lab’s many novel web3 technologies
- Collaborate with the data and engineering teams to set new standards for web3 measurement across the industry
Our take
Mysten Labs was created with the ambition to build a blockchain comparable to Ethereum or Solanan - but with even greater capabilities. That means tackling pain points currently found in blockchain technology, like scaling transactions and speed to meet growing demand.
To do this, Mysten is building foundational infrastructure for Web 3.0 which supports the accelerated development and adoption of decentralized services. The startup is determined to build a platform that finally lets Web 3.0 developers focus on UI, without compromising on security.
The company has focussed on expanding partnerships with existing networks such as Ethos and Orange Comet Partners, who have integrated Mysten technology, as well as open protocols based on Mysten-designed components. Ensuring that it assigns developer and community outreach resources in the right places will be crucial to building a sustainable business in this relatively young space.
