Role
Who you are
- Bachelor or master’s degree in computer science, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience as a QA engineer, or similar role
- Hands-on experience with software testing and quality assurance of web applications, cloud solutions and REST APIs
- Strong experience in test automation architecture and framework design
- Proficient in implementing Page Object Model (POM) and reusable test functions
- Hands-on with Cypress, JavaScript/TypeScript (or comparable frameworks like Playwright or Selenium)
- Strong understanding of code organization, maintainability, and DRY principles
- Experience contributing to shared test libraries, templates, and CI/CD pipelines
- User-focus and good understanding of an intuitive user interface
- Good eye for details and commitment to quality
- Very good communication skills in English
- Remote work - based in Germany

What the job involves
- We are looking for a QA Engineer to join our cross-functional development team
- In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable and maintainable test automation solutions
- You will help build a robust test framework using industry best practices, such as the Page Object Model (POM) and reusable utility functions, to ensure high coverage and long-term code maintainability
- Our team has end-to-end responsibility for the product, from design and architecture to deployment and operation in the Azure cloud
- We follow a quality-first approach, writing test code that meets high standards of modularity, readability, and reusability, to ensure the reliability and security of our platform
- Be part of a cross-functional, agile team with end-to-end responsibility along the complete product lifecycle
- Ensure the quality of our innovative logistics platform
- Test web applications as well as APIs
- Perform manual testing and verification of user stories
- Write and execute automated E2E tests using Cypress
- Create and extend test plans and test cases
- Evaluate the readiness to ship throughout the software development lifecycle
- Assess user experience and usability of our platform
- Coordinate release management activities
- Identify appropriate tooling and processes to support and improve testing
- Collaboratively work with the product owner and software engineers

The logistics of supply chains are a massive and complex part of business operations, but they are typically still run by legacy processes. Hoping to help empower a new age of digital supply chain logistics, Loady provides solutions suitable for a range of industries.
The company's approach is to employ standardized logistics requirements to simplify freight purchasing and transport. Its digital portal enables clients to use these standardized logistics requirements digitally to increase efficiency, as well as gain a comprehensive view into contract information, delivery times, security and more.
This not only makes logistics more streamlined for businesses, but can help contribute to lowering freight-related emissions by reducing wasted mileage and empty containers. As a spin-off from BASF's business incubator, Loady has a good foundation to build on, and Seed funding will enable it to begin expanding operations.
