Role
Who you are
- Harbinger is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Vehicle Test Engineer to join our team
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Vehicle Test Engineer or related role
- Strong understanding of vehicle systems and components, including powertrain, chassis, electrical, and electronics
- Proven ability to develop and execute comprehensive test plans
- Excellent data analysis and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and data analysis tools
- Familiarity with automotive testing standards (e.g., ISO, SAE) is a plus
- Experience with specific testing methodologies (e.g., NVH, durability, reliability) is a plus
What the job involves
- You will be responsible for planning, executing, and analyzing vehicle testing activities to ensure the quality, performance, and safety of our vehicles
- You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve issues, contributing to the successful development and launch of new vehicles
- Develop and execute test plans for various vehicle systems and components
- Select the instrumentation, instrument the vehicle and ensure the quality of the data recorded
- Conduct vehicle testing on test tracks, public roads, and controlled environments
- Analyze test data to identify and diagnose performance issues and defects
- Document test results, findings in Jira, and recommendations in a clear and concise manner
- Work collaboratively with design, development, and manufacturing teams to troubleshoot and resolve identified issues
- Contribute to the development and implementation of test methodologies and standards
- Maintain and calibrate test equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and advancements in vehicle testing technologies
