Role
Who you are
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science/Engineering, Data Science, or a related field
- Over 3 years of experience in applied AI, with a focus on implementing and integrating AI solutions using APIs and pre-trained models
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, TypeScript, or similar, with experience in utilizing AI/ML frameworks and tools such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, etc
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (ideally AWS) and experience in deploying and scaling AI applications
- Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts, but with a practical focus on application rather than research
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex AI concepts to technical and non-technical audiences

What the job involves
- We're looking for an Exceptional AI Engineer for our Applied AI Engineering team
- As a key member of our platform engineering team, you will play a pivotal role in developing and optimizing AI-driven solutions that enhance our end-to-end platform, including our customer-facing web application, backend infrastructure, and developer suite
- Your work will empower a community of developers worldwide to build tailored AI solutions for unique customer use cases, enriching the ecosystem of automation modules

- Optimize: Fine-tune and optimize existing solutions for specific product requirements, ensuring that AI integrations are efficient, scalable, and reliable

Our take
Staffing is one of the most expensive contributors to business operation expenses, leading OpEx teams to minimize workforce sizes to cut costs. However, this often results in unfilled roles leading to larger workloads for employees, a sacrifice that can lead to lower-quality work and expensive errors.
Thoughtful develops bespoke back office automation bots, allowing businesses to hire bots that are specifically designed to automate their tasks and workflows. After onboarding, the company monitors and provides reports on the performance of each bot, allowing clients to see the value of each bot and whether adjustments are needed.
Whilst back office automation tools are nothing new, these generally work as integrations within other platforms, whereas Thoughtul’s bots are uniquely designed to emulate a position that would otherwise be staffed by a human. The company claims that its bots can help OpEx teams minimize staffing costs and optimize workflows whilst preventing any risk associated with cost cutting.
