- Interest in digital assets markets/trading is a plus
What the job involves
- Talos is excited to offer internship opportunities for students eager to gain hands-on experience in various corporate operation functions
- There are exciting opportunities across various Corporate Operations functions, such as Finance, People & Talent, and Marketing
- As an intern in these departments, you will have the chance to work on real-world projects, contribute to impactful strategies, and collaborate with professionals who have driven success in leading global organizations
- Using best-practice and modern tools, we’re building from scratch, so that Talos is ready for the unique challenges this industry faces
- This is a 12-week program that will run from June to August 2025
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports, budgets, and forecasts
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making
- Support the finance team in managing accounts payable and receivable
- Conduct research on market trends and financial best practices
- Assist in collecting, organizing, and maintaining employee data from various sources such as HRIS (Human Resource Information Systems), surveys, and performance management tools
- Analyze workforce data, identify trends, patterns, and insights related to employee engagement, retention, performance, and diversity
- Work closely with the People team to understand their data needs and support their efforts in leveraging data-driven insights for improving processes and initiatives
- Contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives within the team by documenting insights, methodologies, and best practices
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create content that effectively communicates our value proposition and positions Talos as a leader in the fintech industry
- Monitor trends in the crypto/fintech/capital markets to help Talos position itself for success
- Conduct competitor analysis around brand, messaging, marketing, and press to help Talos benchmark its strengths and explore opportunities
- Track and report on marketing metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) using best-in-class marketing technology tools
- Assist in executing marketing campaigns across digital channels
Our take
So far, the increasing institutional interest in the value of crypto-assets has been stymied by a lack of scaled, efficient, and secure infrastructure that these institutions could use for trade. Talos addresses the problem of digital asset trading between institutions, helping them to securely sidestep these obstacles into a fresh market with potentially huge returns.
The company provides a range of end-to-end, highly configurable tools to populate and facilitate the institutional crypto-asset market from just one platform. Talos' approach is helping to lower the bar for wide-ranging adoption of cryptocurrency, supporting the full lifespan of digital assets trading. That said, because they’re developing the market of an entirely new asset-class, progress is accelerated and competition may have a chance to overtake.
Promising for Talos was the interest of prominent investors like PayPal and Fidelity during their Series A funding round, with the funds being used to create an institutional-grade service to help them both shape and spearhead this developing market. More recently, the company has made a number of significant partnerships, and also acquired D3X Systems, the integration of which will allow its clients to design, validate, implement and manage highly customized portfolios.
