Role
Who you are
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- At least 2 years of experience as a finance or accounting assistant in a high performing environment
- Solid understanding of basic accounting and bookkeeping principles
- Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and comfort working with data
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Professional level English proficiency
- Location: London
Desirable
- Familiarity with Xero
- Exposure to international payments, FX, or multi-currency finance operations
- Studying towards an accounting qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
- Experience at a startup, fintech, or professional services firm
What the job involves
- As Finance Assistant, you will be a key part of our high-performing finance team, helping to ensure day to day operations run smoothly and accurately. You’ll report directly to our Financial Controller, and support processing transactions, reconciling statements, and delivering accurate financial reporting across the business
- You will gain exposure across multiple departments, contributing to high impact projects and developing a broad understanding of how finance collaborates with teams across the business to support company growth
- This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in start-up finance, develop a broad understanding of financial operations, and grow with a company that’s scaling fast across emerging markets
- Own the accounts payable process
- Reconcile bank statements and internal records regularly
- Support month-end closing process and preparation of financial statements
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and external vendors to resolve financial queries
- Support the Financial Controller and wider team with ad hoc finance tasks and projects
