Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
Solid software engineering fundamentals and understanding of ML workflows

We seek talented and motivated students and recent graduates with a strong background in software engineering, machine learning, ML and AI frameworks, and workflows to join our 12-week Machine Learning Internship Program
You will work on real-world projects, collaborate with experienced professionals, gain valuable experience in the fintech industry, and realize business and social impact
This role requires hybrid work from our Mountain View office, with 3 days a week in person.
Contribute to developing and maintaining EarnIn’s AI and ML platform and tooling
Collaborate with ML engineers to streamline model training, deployment, and reproducibility
Build and onboard strong, off-the-shelf machine learning and deep learning models, making them easy for all ML teams to use
Improve platform scalability, reliability, and cost-efficiency
Collaborate with the machine learning teams to design, build, and maintain the ML and AI platform and tools
Help evaluate and integrate new technologies that strengthen ML capabilities
Gain hands-on experience with tools and infrastructure, including PyTorch, AWS, Kafka, and Databricks

Our take

Paying bills is an inevitable part of life, but paying them late or dipping into overdrafts can result in fees. It also requires no credit checks to access its services, which puts it ahead of the growing number of digital banking solutions. This approach has garnered it a strong user base of over 300,000 business customers which offer Earnin as an employee benefit. Around 70 million paycheck advances were taken through the platform in 2022 alone, totalling $5 billion. Since then, this number has grown to an overall earnings access value of $15 billion.

Earnin is growing despite current difficulties in the wider tech landscape and is continuing to hire in all departments. It will continue to improve upon its offering and expand its network of businesses, aiming to give every employee in America control of the money they've earned.
