- Experience building culture and engagement for remote or distributed teams
- Demonstrated experience planning complex company events, and offsites, with multiple vendors, stakeholders, schedules, and budget constraints
- Experience coordinating shipping and equipment logistics is a plus
- Strong project-management skills and a record of carrying work from an ambiguous request through final execution and follow-up
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with the judgment to tailor information for employees, executives, vendors, candidates, and guests
- Experience managing budgets, invoices, vendor relationships, and contract workflows
- High attention to detail without losing sight of the broader employee or business outcome
- Comfort using workplace, productivity, expense, and event-management tools, and a willingness to learn and automate repeatable workflows
- The ability to stay calm, adaptable, and focused on the fix when priorities or plans change quickly
- Sound judgment and discretion when handling confidential employee, executive, or company information
- The ability to perform the essential functions of this role, including moving throughout the office, setting up spaces, and occasionally moving workplace or event materials, with or without reasonable accommodation
What the job involves
- Own the daily operation of the San Francisco office, including opening readiness, workplace standards, supplies, food and beverage programs, mail, visitors, conference rooms, and shared spaces
- Support the Charleston office on a virtual basis, coordinating supplies, vendors, events, and other on-the-ground needs so that the team there has the same quality of experience as headquarters
- Manage shipping and logistics for laptops and IT equipment, including inbound and outbound shipments for new hires, departures, repairs, and replacements, in partnership with IT
- Assist Marketing with the logistics of Nash swag, including inventory, and distribution to employees, new hires, events, and customers, following the brand and design direction set by Marketing
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the landlord, building management, workplace vendors, and service providers
- Manage workplace vendors and contracts, including sourcing, scheduling, service-quality reviews, renewals, and issue resolution
- Maintain a safe, functional, secure, and welcoming workplace in partnership with People, IT, Finance, and building management
- Coordinate office access, visitor protocols, seating plans, equipment logistics, and workplace communications
- Build practical office procedures, inventories, calendars, checklists, and service standards that can scale as the team grows
- Track workplace spending, reconcile invoices, manage purchase requests, and identify opportunities to improve quality or cost
- Support emergency-preparedness practices, workplace notices, and health and safety coordination in partnership with the appropriate internal and external owners
- Organize executive offsites and all company events, including team gatherings, leadership meetings, celebrations, and multi-day offsites, from concept through post-event review
- Support Marketing on conferences and external events as needed, helping with logistics such as travel coordination, shipping, vendor follow-up, and on-site support, while Marketing continues to lead event strategy, programming, and its event partners
- Translate company event goals into clear plans covering venue selection, travel, lodging, catering, programming, accessibility, production, communications, budgets, and contingency planning
- Create detailed project plans, run-of-show documents, attendee communications, vendor briefs, and decision timelines for company events and offsites
- Partner with COO, Marketing, and HR to design experiences that reinforce Nash's strategy, values, and culture
- Manage Offsite budgets, negotiate with vendors, track commitments, and reconcile final costs
- Gather feedback and use participation, budget, and experience data to improve future programs
- Build and reinforce Nash's culture across a remote team as our virtual cheerleader: lead recognition, celebrations, and engagement on Slack, help shape all-hands, and create rituals that keep remote employees connected
- Design thoughtful experiences and rituals, both virtual and in-office, that strengthen connection, belonging, recognition, and collaboration
- Support the workplace elements of onboarding and offboarding, including equipment shipping, desk readiness, access coordination, welcome moments, and equipment returns, in partnership with People and IT
- Coordinate employee milestones, team lunches, customer visits, recruiting days, and other high-touch moments
- Maintain clear workplace and event communications so employees know what is happening, why it matters, and what is expected of them
- Act as a trusted, service-minded resource while applying policies consistently and protecting confidential or sensitive information
- Identify friction in the employee experience and propose practical, scalable fixes rather than waiting for direction
- What Success Looks Like:
- Remote and in-office employees feel connected to each other and to Nash's culture, and engagement on Slack and at all-hands is strong
- The San Francisco and Charleston offices operate reliably, and workplace issues are resolved quickly with minimal disruption
- Laptops, equipment, and swag reach the right people on time, and new hires are set up before their first day
- Company events and offsites are delivered on time, within budget, and with clear goals, strong participation, and thoughtful execution, and Marketing has dependable support for conferences and external events whenever they ask for it
- Employees receive timely, accurate information and experience consistent standards across workplace programs
- Vendors are well managed, spending is visible, and workplace processes become more scalable over time
- Leaders and employees see you as a proactive operator who combines urgency, sound judgment, discretion, and care
Our take
Nash makes it easier for businesses to manage same-day delivery by aggregating available providers such as Lyft, Uber, and DoorDash on one interface. This leaves the business free to select (or automate) the best option based on cost and availability. The startup works across a growing number of verticals, from food delivery to retail, pharmaceuticals or auto parts.
With a growing consumer demand for fast, hyperlocal delivery, small to medium-sized businesses often struggle to keep up with the logistics and costs. This has led to the emergence of more and more last-mile delivery startups. However, managing the huge variety of delivery options coming onto the market cost-effectively is often overwhelming and time-consuming.
Nash’s strategy of positioning itself between merchants and delivery companies is a clever one, so long as it can continue to build partnerships with both national and local delivery providers. So far, this strategy has paid off, and the company has experienced rapid growth since its founding in 2021. It already covers all of the USA and is eyeing expansion into Canada and the UK in the near future.
