Who you are
- 6+ years experience in paid media for a data driven, high-growth brand. Fintech and Direct-To-Consumer category experience a plus
- Previously led seven figure paid media budgets
- Collaborative team player who excels at building relationships, and has a desire to improve and build on existing processes
- Experience developing, negotiating and executing paid media buys
- Experience in mobile marketing with an app publisher, agency, or similar
- Robust understanding of quantitative concepts around driving and measuring ROI
- Keen business sense and an ability to critically assess all facets of a media plan
- Passion for disrupting an industry and being part of a team directly responsible for growing the customer base
- Demonstrated self-starter with the ability to handle multiple projects, prioritize work assignments, meet deadlines, and work independently in a fast-paced environment

- Betterment’s B2C Marketing team is responsible for introducing prospective customers to the financial products that make their lives better

- The Marketing Manager position is ideal for individuals with a passion for fintech product marketing and media strategy and who is always on the hunt for new, innovative ways to break through the advertising clutter
- We are searching for an experienced, media-savvy pro to plan, develop and implement campaigns that highlight the Betterment product and brand, with a focus on digital partnerships in the financial services category
- As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to manage and grow our app store presence, as well as spearhead product positioning for upcoming paid initiatives
- This position works closely with creative, compliance, marketing strategy, insights, product marketing, accounting, and subject matter experts across the organization
- Explore new partners and opportunities across all paid marketing channels in support of Betterment’s product offerings
- Lead creative briefings and marketing positioning for upcoming paid initiatives
- Develop and implement ASO (App Store Optimization) strategy to increase mobile app visibility and downloads
- Devise ASO best practices and innovations, identifying areas for improvement, build out A/B tests, and communicate results
- Support the growth of our affiliate program and onboard new partnerships
- Work with internal cross-functional partners to ensure that creative delivers on the goals set out in the brief and meets all compliance guidelines
- Oversee budget actualizations across B4C paid channels and represent the marketing team in monthly accrual meetings
- Track spending and recommend budget shifts in order to meet key performance metrics goals (CPA, ROAS)
- Additional channel management responsibilities can be added based on the candidate’s interests and skill set

- As a best practice, we aim to interview at least 2-3 final round candidates before making a hiring decision
