Who you are
- 2-3+ years of relevant product management experience or previous AI/ML experience with strong product ownership
- Strong track record of building in a technical domain while shipping quickly and efficiently
- Willingness to get your hands dirty with code!
- Experience and/or knowledge of working within machine learning, or data platforms and infrastructure
- Experience working directly with customers and promoting community discussions in order to gather client feedback
- Experience driving data-informed product strategy into production
Desirable
- Previous engineering and/or tech lead experience
- Experience in API design

- Experience working with Figma or similar design tools
What the job involves
- This role will focus on our LLM product : Evals, tracing, and building workflows for AI engineers to go from development to production. You'll also be working closely (or within) our Core Product, Copilot and Open Source teams
- Our team is working to define the “canonical stack” for AI workflows, by solving the toughest problems in AI today: how to experiment, evaluate, understand and improve models or applications at scale in a responsible way
- The product team has deep technical and strategic backgrounds from leading AI/ML companies (Uber, Cruise, Spotify, Apple) and experience shipping market leading platforms at scale
- Working with this team is an opportunity to develop further as a PM leader in a rapidly growing space by collaborating with some of the best in class AI Engineers and Data Scientists in the industry
- You will be owning, strategizing, and developing a large portion of Arize AI’s core product roadmap
- From ideation to creation, you will be involved in all stages of the product life cycle
- You will be engaging with our customers directly to gather meaningful insight and feedback in order to create a world class product
- You will be working cross functionally with internal and external stakeholders; including engineering, design, marketing, and sales to drive our product strategy into production
- You will be responsible for communicating and integrating competitive analysis, usability research, and market analysis into product requirements
- Utilize your understanding in AI/ML/CV or related technical space in order to contribute to Arize AI’s main product offering
Our take
Machine learning is rapidly becoming a fundamental and mainstream automation tool used across many industries. The issue, however, is that monitoring, assessing, and improving ML models is costly, and especially tricky without monitoring capabilities. It’s created a market demand for ML monitoring tools, and Arize’s platform offers a rich suite of them.
The Arize platform gives developers and operators comprehensive oversight of their models with tools including performance tracing, drift detection, and integration and deployment. This provides a crucial guardrail: as more decision-making is handed over to ML in areas like insurance and loans, poor ML model performance can have a catastrophic effect on both individuals and customers alike.
Remarkably, given this development, ML observability platforms aren’t yet in huge supply. Arize startup rivals like Censius and WhyLabs are making strong headway, but a clear winner has by no means yet emerged. Arize has, however, netted some major customers: Spotify, Instacart, Uber, and P&G are a handful of the major clients that will help it lay a strong foundation in what is anticipated to be a highly lucrative market.
