Software Engineer, Budibase

• 3+ years of professional experience developing modern web applications
• A minimum of 1+ years working with TypeScript
• Experience architecting new features, creating new APIs, and developing new integrations
• Experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases
• Experience in a startup or high-growth environment
• Capable of having technical discussions at the right level of abstraction
• The timezone must be located in UTC ±2 hours

• In this role, you will work across our entire tech stack, from our infra and backend services to the frontend experiences our users love
• You will design, develop, and deploy new product features that will directly impact our users
• You will solve complex integration challenges and ensure our systems scale
• You will be part of a team capable of shipping a new feature from inception to production in under a week, that delivers real value to users
• Develop our frontend applications (Svelte + TypeScript)
• Expand our backend services (Node.js + TypeScript)
• Solve complex integration problems by connecting Budibase to new databases and services
• Write clean and maintainable TypeScript, continuing to grow the quality of the codebase
• Work closely with our product team to deliver features that our users will love
• Collaborate closely with a distributed team of engineers to build exciting features and learn from each other
• Maintain and expand end‑to‑end integration and behaviour tests
• Help maintain existing features, work with the customer success team to fix bugs, and keep our users happy
• As Budibase is open source, you’ll work with the community and contribute publicly
