Role
Who you are
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years directly managing engineers on platform, infrastructure, or internal developer teams
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
- Hands-on experience building or operating CI, build or artifact platforms at scale - CI pipelines, release automation, build systems, or artifact management
- Solid understanding of SDLC practices, code review workflows, and branching/release strategies (e.g., trunk-based development)
- Working knowledge or hands-on experience with Kubernetes
- Experience managing and mentoring engineers, with a track record of supporting individual growth and team execution
- Comfortable defining, tracking and continuously improving business metrics (reliability, velocity, quality) for your team
- Champion of using automation and AI to reduce toil and improve velocity and quality
- Working knowledge of cloud platforms, containerization, and modern CI / build practices such as GitHub Actions, JFrog Artifactory, Bazel, or similar
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, or similar
- Clear communicator, able to represent your team's work and technical tradeoffs to both engineers and cross-functional stakeholders
Desirable

- Experience managing engineers in a distributed environment
What the job involves
- We are seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a team within our build, test, and deploy platform organization, which powers CI/CD for CoreWeave engineering
- This role blends hands-on technical judgment with people leadership - you'll guide your team's execution on continuous integration (CI), build systems, artifact management and release automation, while partnering closely with senior engineers and technical leads on day-to-day design and operational decisions
- You'll be accountable for your team's health and execution, translating broader platform strategy into concrete, achievable work for your team
- Guide the technical direction for your team's area of ownership within the CI, build and artifact management - helping shape design decisions on pipelines, optimizations, or automation
- Identify opportunities to modernize workflows and reduce friction in the software development lifecycle (SDLC), and help drive adoption of new platform capabilities across internal teams
- Uphold standards for reliability, performance, and security within your team's scope, balancing high-availability requirements with developer experience
- Break down roadmap priorities into clear, actionable plans for your team, and track relevant business metrics (e.g. CI reliability, build time, artifactory latency)
- Manage day-to-day execution, including technical debt tradeoffs and unblocking your team to hit measurable outcomes
- Grow and support your team members directly - regular 1:1s, mentorship, and fostering ownership and collaboration within the team
Our take
As AI continues to dominate the tech landscape, the demand for faster, more efficient cloud infrastructure is only intensifying. Traditional cloud providers often struggle with the sheer speed and scale required to power advanced AI models, leaving a gap for more specialized players. And that's where CoreWeave comes in, a company purpose-built to handle the heavy computational lift that the AI era demands.
CoreWeave's story is an interesting one too. What began in 2017 as a small crypto mining venture has evolved into one of the leading AI-focused cloud providers in the world. Its data centers are packed with high-end GPUs optimized for machine learning and generative AI, serving major clients like Microsoft and OpenAI. By designing its infrastructure around the needs of modern AI workloads rather than retrofitting older systems, CoreWeave has carved out a distinct and highly valuable niche in the market.
That focus in paying off in a big way too. Analyst project CoreWeave's revenue to soar from $5.3B in 2025 to the mid-$20Bs by 2028, up from just $16M in 2022. While there is competition from tech giants like Amazon and Google, CoreWeave's speed, specialization, and bold investment strategy put in in a very powerful position to keep riding (and helping shape) the AI boom.
