Staff Accountant, Transcarent

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 1–3 years of accounting experience (private industry or public accounting preferred)
• Understanding of GAAP and basic accounting principles
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team
• Strong attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join the company’s Corporate Accounting team and support the company’s continued growth
• In this role, you will support day-to-day accounting operations and assist with maintaining accurate financial records and reporting
• You will work closely with senior members of the team on core accounting functions, including processing invoices, preparing journal entries, and supporting the month-end close process
• Assist with general ledger accounting functions, including cash, fixed assets, and prepaid expenses
• Prepare journal entries and perform account reconciliations for balance sheet and income statement accounts
• Support the month-end close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
• Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to gather information and resolve accounting-related questions
• Help maintain and follow documented accounting policies and procedures
• Assist with year-end audit requests and regulatory filings
• Support ad-hoc projects and process improvements as assigned
