- Proven experience building and operating large-scale systems on AWS
- Strong background in high-availability, fault-tolerant, distributed systems
- Fluency in Java and Spring Boot

What the job involves
- Help build the platform that powers ScriptRunner Cloud
- You’ll shape the core technology that underpins our ScriptRunner Cloud products, designing, building, and running highly available services used by thousands of teams
- Design and evolve the platform: set up build pipelines, select web/server technologies, design hosting architectures, and organise repositories for scale and clarity
- Ship continuously: create automated build and deployment plans, contribute to CI/CD best practices, and pair program/review code in an Agile workflow
- Build the right solutions: research and document approaches within Atlassian Connect and Forge constraints; design services and architectures to meet customer needs at scale
- Go serverless where it fits: build and test serverless applications; define stacks with Terraform, AWS SAM, or CDK
- Keep it reliable: run, monitor, and debug services; configure meaningful alerts; analyse logs/metrics for performance and behaviour; evaluate systems for operational reliability
- Migrate without drama: move high-traffic systems to new designs with zero downtime
- Own the ops: participate in on-call/incident response, lead post-incident learnings, and drive platform improvements
- Agile ceremonies: standups, ticket estimations, retrospectives
- Collaborative engineering: peer reviews and pair programming
- Data-informed decisions: use metrics and customer signals to guide priorities
- High impact: a visible role influencing engineering practices and platform direction

Reece joined TAG as an Associate Software Engineer in May 2019. Within 5 months, they advanced to Software Engineer, then to Senior in under two years, and by September 2024, became Staff Engineer.
Sarah joined TAG as a Project Manager in 2017 in the Toronto office. They found their true calling in Sales and made an internal move a couple of years later and have since advanced to become a Strategic Sales Executive.
Rodrigo initially worked with TAG as a Contractor before joining the UK team permanently as a Commercial Operations Analyst. Since then, they moved to the Madrid office as a Business Operations Manager.
