Risk Partnerships Manager, Stripe

• 10+ years of professional experience, including 3+ years of experience in external partner-facing roles
• Extensive experience working with payment network rules of Visa and/or Mastercard
• A strong sense of ownership, resilience, and a drive to have an impact
• Experience in managing day to day risk across a variety of internal and external partners
• Strong stakeholder management skills including navigating difficult situations, negotiating timelines, and influencing internal and external stakeholders across organizations and borders
• An analytical approach to decision-making - you understand how to partner with Data Science to build metrics and track progress across various monitoring programs
• Demonstrated project/program management skills and a proven track record for building and scaling programs from the ground up
• Excellent collaboration, communication, and relationship building skills. Must have the ability to convey complex ideas succinctly to all audiences

• It’s expected that the Partner Manager will be a critical subject matter expert in card network rules and quickly become versed in Stripe’s risk policies in areas including fraud, credit, brand risks, as well as keeping abreast of emerging trends within the industry and competitors
• You will build strategic relationships with Risk counterparts within major card network partners to help drive Stripe’s risk and commercial initiatives forward

• You'll manage key risk relationships with our top card networks across the Americas, including building relationships, understanding partner requirements, and advocating for Stripe’s users and product teams
• Drive discussions with card networks on the applicability of their restricted / prohibited business lists or network operating rules and regulations
• Dive deep into our Risk systems and develop a strong understanding of Stripe’s risk posture and technical risk management foundations
• Build a close partnership with our Financial Partnerships team to drive and represent risk objectives
• Develop relationships and work with partners across Risk, Product, Engineering and Operations teams to prioritize, scope and roll out launches and
