What the job involves
- Our products are used daily (and you will have most certainly received a message from us) by over 98% of GP practices and half of NHS hospitals, impacting millions of lives
- As Head of Implementation and Delivery, your role will be mission-critical and you will be central to shaping the core communication infrastructure of the NHS
- You’ll directly enable faster, safer, and more accessible patient care
- You will own and scale our Implementation and Delivery function, leading a high-performing team responsible for the successful delivery, activation, and training of users and customers across the UK health system
- You’ll define and oversee our implementation strategy across all market segments
- You’ll build organisational capability, and ensure strong governance and risk management at scale by driving measurable, system-wide impact and work closely in influencing commercial, product, and operational strategy
- Building and scaling a national implementation capability: Defining the long-term vision, operating model, governance, and risk frameworks that enable predictable, successful and high-quality delivery across increasingly complex NHS environments
- Leading enterprise, system-level digital enablement: Overseeing complex, multi-stakeholder NHS Trust and ICS rollouts, developing scalable playbooks, and ensuring delivery drives measurable operational change
- Driving performance, accountability, and cross-functional alignment at scale: Owning delivery health and KPIs (time-to-value, predictability, adoption, NPS), acting as executive escalation point, and partnering with Sales, Product and Customer Experience to align commercial commitments, roadmap decisions, and long-term customer impact
- Managing and developing managers: Leading a team of managers who in turn deliver across regions and accounts, ensuring consistency, accountability, and performance across the function
- To give a flavour of what you might be working on, right now we are focused on:
- Implementing our AI Scribe across GP practices, hospitals, and other care settings, and ensuring every patient leaves an appointment with a clearly documented summary
- Translating our expertise from implementing total triage in GP practices to improve how hospital specialist services deliver care
- Powering communication for Integrated Neighbourhood Teams, a new type of service bringing together staff from different organisations that is pivotal to the government’s 10-year plan
Salary benchmarks
Our take
Communication between patients and nurses/doctors has typically happened via telephone call or post. This outdated technology is costly and doesn't exactly provide a great experience. Accurx has stepped in to solve this problem with its communication and collaboration platform.
Accurx allows GPs and other healthcare providers to communicate more efficiently with their patients and with each other in order to deliver top-quality care. Its products are now used in over 95% of GP practices, a huge testament to the value of Accurx's platform.
Since raising considerable funding, Accurx has been focused on growing its team and developing its products, including batch messaging between clinics and patients, to help care sites ease the burden of long wait lists and understaffing. Alongside this, the platform recently partnered up with Tandem Health to launch an AI scribe tool for use across the NHS, so GP practices can save valuable time. Together, these developments put Accurx ins a strong position for even more growth and impact across the healthcare sector.
