Role
Who you are
- BS Degree in Computer Science/Engineering related degree or equivalent work experience
- 6+ Years of production coding experience, preferably in server-side Java
- Expertise in Service-oriented architectures, microservices, advanced database schemas, relational and nonrelational databases, highly scalable and available web services
- The ability to context shift and manage multiple priorities at the same time
- Hands-on experience in building RESTful Web Services
- Experienced with microservices with Spring Boot and Docker
- Prior experience using SQL, Hibernate, and one or more DB (MySQL, Oracle, Postgres, etc)
- Prior experience using NoSQL. (Redis, MongoDB, DynamoDB, etc)
- Experience with automated testing frameworks (TDD, Mocking, Unit/Functional/Integration)
- Experience with development and CI tools: maven, git, Jenkins, Puppet, Crucible, Jira
- Experience working with messaging systems. (RabbitMQ, Kafka)
- Experience with a variety of different programming/scripting languages
- Experience with Javascript, React Component Libraries like Ant Design, Material UI, or React Bootstrap is a plus
What the job involves
- The Platform Deals team is responsible for services and UI applications that manage deals between publishers, buyers, and marketplace curators for the buying and selling of ad space
- This includes the user entry and editing of such deals and supporting elements, as well as the mechanisms to send the information in a timely way to the downstream components responsible for transacting on those deals
- Lead the development and implementation of software projects from inception to deployment
- Be a creative problem solver who can draw on an array of expertise and technology to design and implement reliable, scalable, and maintainable solutions to challenging problems
- Works closely with business stakeholders to deliver the most appropriate results
- Lead the technical specification, development, integration, testing and release of software components
- Identify and address technical challenges, optimize code for performance, and participate in ongoing code refactoring

A key example of this is TV, advertisements that present immediate calls to action within a Connected TV user interface, but publishing ads in such a format is currently inaccessible to most publishers.
Magnite provides a sell-side omnichannel advertisement platform for publishers, focused on facilitating the selling of advertising on all formats including CTV, mobile, desktop, and audio. In addition to facilitating the buying and selling of omnichannel ads, the company also provides a real-time ad performance dashboard, data protection and compliance tools, and insights into buying and selling patterns.
Whilst other omnichannel advertisement platforms present significant competition to the company, Magnite stands out by providing an end-to-end marketplace for the buying, selling, management, and analysis of ads.
