Role
Who you are
- The successful candidate will have great technical capabilities, an aptitude for product strategy, and a deep understanding of both live service games and user generated content ecosystems
- 7+ years of industry or relevant experience, with proven interest in and knowledge of live service video games
- Strong understanding of user-generated content platforms in gaming, and where the market is trending
- Strong product intuition and demonstrated background in influencing products by applying data and measurement to drive alignment
- Experience with working with development teams to instrument data and ensure continued data quality
- Experience with writing efficient and scalable SQL over billions of rows; it is a plus if you are familiar with distributed computing using Spark (Scala or PySpark)
- Familiarity with supporting operational processes including: code version control (Github or similar), orchestration (Airflow)
- Experience with a variety of causal inference methods and experimental design
- Experience with advanced statistical and/or economic modeling is a plus
- Experience in a “full-stack” environment - data file ingest, ETL, data storage interaction, application development, communication of results to storage systems, code version control is a plus
- Passion for games, analytics, and user-generated content platforms

- Use your expert experience in data & analytics to advance the Fortnite ecosystem economy and cultivate a thriving user generated content ecosystem.
- Problem Solving and Critical Thinking: Break down ambiguous problems, understand the pieces that really matter, and drive product improvements with the insights uncovered
- Strategic Product Management and Execution: Identify and evaluate market trends, opportunities, and competition to inform strategic decisions and collaborate with senior leadership to align initiatives with overall company goals
- End to End Analytics Ownership: Transform raw data into data models, production metrics, scaled reporting, and insights to improve user experience and engagement
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with product, marketing, legal, and technology teams to ensure seamless execution of initiatives; coordinate with internal stakeholders to align on goals and priorities and facilitate effective communication and collaboration across departments

Epic's Unreal Engine technology brings high-fidelity, interactive experiences to PC, console, mobile, AR, VR and the Web. Its recent announcement - Unreal Engine 5 - is set to lay the technical foundations for countless future releases.
Epic Games' model focuses on two key areas: creating games and offering its game engine technology to other developers. Doing this means that Epic Games' brand stretches beyond their own direct creations. The company has been able to put its name to some of the most iconic games of the last 20 years. Its most recent success is undoubtedly the creation of Fortnite, which has gained hundreds of millions of users since its launch in 2017.
Long-established as one of the leaders in their field, these are undoubtedly exciting times for Epic Games. The release of next-generation consoles like the PS5 has enabled Epic Games to push the limits of their software, meaning it'll lead the charge in the creation of next-gen games. 2024 saw an unprecedented investment in Epic Games by Disney, amounting to $1.5 billion. This will enable Disney to promote iconic characters through the Fortnite game. With the number of people enjoying video games continuing to grow, there is no sign of Epic Games slowing down any time soon.
