What the job involves
- As the Head of Growth for Anglophone Africa, you will be the driving force behind LemFi’s expansion across some of the largest and fastest-growing remittance corridors globally
- Leading the Anglophone Africa Growth team, your objective is to seamlessly connect the English-speaking African diaspora across Europe, the US, Canada, and the UK with their home markets in Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, and other priority regions
- You will have end-to-end ownership of the region’s growth engine, holding direct accountability for user acquisition, transaction volume, revenue, and unit economics
- Reporting to the Head of Africa, this role offers high autonomy and leadership visibility, giving you the power to shape the future of diaspora financial services at scale while working cross-functionally with Product, Partnerships, Treasury, and Operations to deliver sustainable, market-leading expansion
- Define the Growth Strategy: Develop and execute comprehensive market entry and penetration strategies across Anglophone Africa and key diaspora sender markets
- Drive Acquisition & Retention: Own the end-to-end user lifecycle—from paid marketing, influencer campaigns, and community-led initiatives to activation, engagement, and win-back strategies
- Optimise the Funnel: Partner closely with Product to refine onboarding, improve conversion rates, limits, and user experience to increase transaction frequency, ARPU, and LTV
- Lead Cross-Functional Execution: Oversee day-to-day operations by coordinating across Growth, Ops, Product, CRM, and Partnerships to ensure initiatives are delivered efficiently and align with LemFi’s mission
- Maximise Performance & Unit Economics: Track and analyse key metrics (CAC, LTV, revenue, payback periods), continuously optimising growth levers and resource allocation for maximum impact
- Build a High-Performing Team: Hire, mentor, and lead an innovative growth team, setting clear expectations and fostering a culture of ownership and speed

By offering quick onboarding and a multi-currency offering, LemFi allows its users to send, receive, hold, convert, and save in both their country of origin and residence currencies.
Recognising the limitations faced by traditional banks and neo-banks, LemFi offers instant international transfers at favourable exchange rates with no transfer fees. Initially launched in Canada, growing demand for the company's services has allowed it to expand to the UK, and broaden its African payment channels.
The company has secured good funding from prominent investors like Y-Combinator, Zrosk, Global Founders Capital, and Olive Tree. With plans to expand its product offering across the globe, LemFi will further its mission of providing accessible and transparent financial services to migrant communities worldwide.
