Who you are

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 1+ years of computer user support experience, including experience with troubleshooting principles, methodologies, and issue resolution techniques
  • Experience with supporting Mac and PC operating systems, both in-office and remote
  • Ability to communicate information, ideas, and concepts to employees concisely in both written and verbal formats
  • Exceptional customer service
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment

Desirable

  • Relevant technical certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+)
  • Scripting with Powershell and/or bash
  • Expertise with Google Workspace, Slack, Asana, Zoom, and SaaS automation
  • Maintaining Apple MDM and Windows Autopilot
  • Experience supporting call centers and related software

What the job involves

  • The IT Support Technician will provide hands-on and remote support to our employees, covering a broad range of IT functions
  • You’ll work directly with employees to resolve issues, manage access, and support business goals
  • Provide technical support to end-users within Insurify via Slack, remote access, and in-office
  • Build and deploy Apple and PC hardware, software packages, networking components, printers, and custom applications as required
  • Educate users on the proper use of computer systems and software
  • Log and track IT requests, ensuring timely resolution
  • Create and update standard operating procedures (SOP) and maintain technical documentation to drive process improvements
  • Implement security measures to protect computer systems, networks, and data

Insurify is a company that sets out to make the process of buying car insurance easier and better suited to what the customer requires. Since its founding in 2013, the company has generated over 26 million quotes, representing over 44 million dollars saved for consumers.

Operational in all 50 US states, the platform uses artificial intelligence to sift through quotes from insurance companies to empower its customers to make sensible choices. Policies can be purchased online or over the phone, and include exclusive rates and discounts found only through Insurify.

Insurify is up against fierce competition in the insurtech industry, with other comparison-shopping sites like The Zebra, Root Insurance, and Coverhound all offering similar services. That said, the company has expanded its operations substantially in recent years. Most of its recent fundraise is cited to support acquisitions (it has already announced plans to acquire Compare.com). It is also partnering with MassMutual to strengthen its market leadership.
