Who you are
- 4+ years of experience working in an analytical role, preferably at a management consulting firm, or a similarly rigorous analytical environment
- Excellent storyteller that can build compelling board and executive presentations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Able to quickly build trust with internal and external stakeholders
- Thrives in a fast-paced, ambiguous work environment with action- orientation and drive
- Proficiency in PowerBI, Excel, and SQL
- Proven analytical and financial skills to run fact-based analysis and link to financial performance and value creation
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Data, Finance or a related field
- Experience with forecasting and predictive modeling
What the job involves
- The Sr. Strategy Analyst is part of a small SWAT team that is responsible for executing the mandates of the Strategy and Transformation Offices
- In this generalist role you will work at the intersection of data, strategy, and transformation, partnering closely with business leaders and stakeholders across the company, and using your analytical prowess to unlock opportunities and guide our journey to excellence.
- Drive Shutterfly’s strategic direction and lead strategic planning process across the organization (e.g., developing OKRs, AOPs)
- Support the development and implementation of organization’s strategic / transformational initiatives
- Conduct data analysis to identify trends, patterns and insights that inform strategic decision-making
- Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) and measurement frameworks to track process and success of strategic initiatives. Your mission is to provide continuous feedback and insights for informed decision-making
- Own dashboard reports, board presentations, and communication materials to convey strategic insights and recommendations to stakeholders
- Communicate recent performance and provide forward- looking perspective in impact vs. plan and interventions to accelerate and sustain performance
- Support executive staff on M&A diligence and potential integration
- Collaborate with the Chief Transformation and Strategy Officer to refine goals, objectives and action plans

Shutterfly is an online platform for personalized photo gifts. The company has been one of the most prominent success stories of the age of eCommerce, riding high as consumers became comfortable relying on the internet to provide authentic gifts for their loved ones.
The family of brands has grown impressively since its founding in 1999 through the growth of its flagship product as well as a series of acquisitions with impressive synergies.
For example, an acquisition of school photo leader, Lifetouch, for $825 million has enabled the company to profit from the opportunity to sell more items that can be customized with professional shots of a parent’s children.
The biggest challenge for Shuttefly will be to continue leading the way in personalized gifts despite competition from emerging startups. That may not be much of a concern for its leadership given the company’s impressive acquisition record and continuing customer growth.
