Who you are
- Experience building and shipping world-class products across various platforms
- A portfolio of projects that display an understanding of the design process, refined UX and UI skills, and holistic system thinking

What the job involves
- We’re looking for a Product Designer to help us in pushing Front’s user experience to the next level. You’ll be involved in every aspect of the product development process, from brainstorming new product ideas with Product Management to tweaking pixels right before launch with Engineering to adding new components to our Design System
- You will utilize your full range of product design, interaction design, and visual design skills
- Work with the AI team on the end-to-end experience and collaborate closely with other teams across Front to enable our users to deliver exceptional service to their customers
- Help execute on and evolve the design system by designing, refining, and documenting intuitive and robust components
- Design product experiences across various platforms including web, desktop, and mobile
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers and Engineers to define project requirements and deliver impactful design solutions
- Understand and represent users in product decisions with cross-functional peers during tradeoff, timeline, and experience discussions
- Design and communicate your vision to the team using mock-ups, documentation, and prototypes
- Impact business goals through effective and efficient development of design solutions
- Participate in and shape the design team’s culture
Our take
When a business receives an email from a customer it can set off a chain of forwarded emails across the company, an inefficient process where information (and sales!) can easily get lost. Front exists to change this, consolidating all customer communications into a single shared inbox which can be accessed by teams of any size and completely eliminates the need for internal emails.
With more companies moving to remote working and eCommerce becoming the predominant form of conducting business, Front's product has been enthusiastically received by over 8,000 companies, including Mailchimp, Shopitfy and Convoy. However it is by no means alone in this space, with huge competitors such as Google and Microsoft providing communications solutions and other internal communications tools such as Slack gaining traction. Front may have an edge here though: its unified solution also provides automated workflows, ticketing and analytical tools that are either absent or less well integrated in competing offerings.
In 2022, Front raised investments in a Series D round and achieved unicorn status with a valuation of over $1 billion. It is moving to futher develop its product and increase its market share, hiring on new talent ahead of a possible IPO in the near future. Definitely watch this space!
