Role
Who you are
- 5+ years of experience in technical product management role
- Fund administration or other private markets investing experience would be a plus but is not required
- Bachelor’s degree in technical or quantitative field, or equivalent schooling or training
- Demonstrated ability to define and ship complex, technical products in an iterative, agile manner
- Comfort working with a range of levels, from envisioning entirely new products to mastering details and edge cases
- Experience developing AI systems would be a plus
- Proven ability to motivate, lead and convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences through writing, presentations and collaboration with a diverse set of colleagues from engineering to operations to go-to-market teams
What the job involves
- Juniper Square’s platform is used by customers throughout the lifecycle of an investment and investors: from marketing offerings and soliciting leads, digital signing of contracts and terms, reporting on investment financials performance and recording transactions
- We’re looking for an experienced product manager to transform investment fund administration in the private markets
- You’ll join our growing team to bring manual offline workflows into AI-native digital experiences
- In this role, you will develop a deep understanding of our customers, their business problems, and their workflows as well as the dynamics at play within private markets
- You will leverage these insights to drive the full product lifecycle from high level roadmap definition and stakeholder alignment all the way through execution, GTM, and delivery of value to customers
- You will be among the first product managers in the industry to bring AI to the private markets
- We are a highly collaborative team, and you will be working very closely with senior leadership, product managers, customers, customer success, sales, engineers, and designers throughout the phases of software development
- This role would benefit from in-person collaboration in San Francisco, where many of our product management, design, and engineering personnel are based, although we also welcome exceptional candidates from elsewhere in the United States and Canada. Our ideal candidate would be able to collaborate with colleagues in our San Francisco office 2-3 times per week
- Entrepreneurially define how AI will transform back-office operations for private investment funds
- Develop your roadmap by balancing competing needs between features, stability and performance
- Develop deep empathy for the needs and pain points of our customers and our internal teams, by close collaboration with colleagues from our fund accounting, investor services, product, and go-to-market teams as well as customers themselves
- Ship features and improvements frequently and iteratively, planning projects, documenting requirements, and motivating those building solutions with an understanding of the “why” and the “what” to inspire their ownership of the “how”
- Work cross-functionally with our fund accounting and investor services teams to roll out new capabilities and drive adoption

Founded in 2014, Juniper Square were immediately in direct competition with analytical monolith Microsoft Excel, as well as popular equity management apps like Fundwave. However, the platform has exceeded expectations, in part because of its fluid and longer-term focused software solutions that have innovated what was previously archaic and error-ridden under Excel.
Serving almost 2000 GPs, Juniper Square supports tens of thousands of investment partnerships, covering hundreds of billions in LP capital. The company has raised substantial funding that will be used to fuel rapid growth, accelerate innovation, and expand its services.
