What the job involves

The Finance Manager will report directly to the Head of Finance and assist on all operational financial aspects of the business including financial reporting, client money handling, control, FP&A, cash flow management and strategic initiatives
Leading the day to day operations of the finance function, the Finance Manager will have the opportunity to build out a world class finance function
Own day-to-day finance operations, including AP, AR, VAT and payroll
Assist with client money handling reporting and processes
Assist with the delivery of timely, accurate month-end and management accounting
Work closely with the business to deliver the budget and forecasting moving forwards
Identify value-adding insights to support with long-term strategic planning
Assist with completion of the annual statutory accounts and external audit process
Continuous process improvement, ad-hoc projects and automation to enable the business to scale
Own day-to-day finance operations
Over the first few months you will work with the head of finance to develop an understanding existing day-to-day finance operations processes and then begin taking full ownership
Help ensure finance processes are continually developed in the most value-adding way
Over time you will develop processes to assess control and efficiency improvements with a focus on automation
Speed and accuracy of information should be developed to ensure reporting for internal purposes enables efficient strategic business decision making
This is a part-time position (3 days per week) with an expectation to be in the office 1 day per week
